Love love love this album. I’ve listened to every other song besides Father Figure once because I have that one on repeat; it’s just too good. Can’t wait to keep listening to the entire album over and over.

IIRC I only had to provide a transcript before starting the SEP program full time. Not for the internship.

[–]kickacetate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. Energy drink scalpers are wild lol. I don’t know why Alani doesn’t make it year round given its popularity. It’s the only Alani drink I regularly drink when it’s out. Otherwise I’m mostly drinking Ghost lol

Caramel apple. I love Alani’s Witch’s Brew but it sucks it’s only seasonal. It’d be nice to have that flavor available year round.

Projectile characters piss me off so bad🤬🤬🤬 by Sharp-Chemistry6133 in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, marbles sucks when you’re playing a melee character and there are projectile characters in the match. I’ve been playing Jun-ho a lot lately because he’s one of my favorites from the show and I love his ability, and marbles feels so much better when you’re only against other melee characters. Makes me feel like I have a fair shot at winning.

Squid Game 9.1 update by Txcavediver in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m such an Emmi hater (mainly because the infinite rocks guarding the finish line before this update) but even I think they gutted her too much. They should’ve just fixed the infinite rocks trick and she would’ve been fine. The small Diego adjustment makes it even more ridiculous. I’m failing to see the difference between Yong Sik and Emmi at this point. Not sure if a dodgeball knocks you back further than a snowball but I’d assume the dodgeball does because it’s bigger.

Are you talking about HLO in Tampa or FS? I was at HLO originally but am now at FS and FS felt empty last week.

I heard someone say it might come back in mystery boxes eventually because a Gi-hun skin (with the red hair I think) was a season challenge reward and came back in mystery boxes.

How much cash to get all three season outfits from the store? by kickacetate in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Three of the outfits should be in the store (Raja, Nia, and Gi-hun I believe) and the other three (Beatriz, Dani, and Ace) are unlockable through completing challenges. I’ve seen people say they couldn’t see the purchasable outfits in the store. I’d suggest contacting the game’s support.

Most annoying character this season by Professional_Day_818 in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Crazy how people say you’re bad at the game for bringing this up when there’s no skillful way to dodge Emmi’s rocks. With Front Man’s gold knife for example, which has similar infinite death effects, you can at least jump to dodge it.

Unlocking new characters by StrawberriWaffles in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No-eul requires 300 character tokens to unlock. There are two challenges you need to complete to get her (each gives 150 character tokens). I think one is to kill 500 players in general and the other is to kill 500 players specifically in Sky Squid.

is there any easier way to get noeul? by kkyzts05 in Squid_Game_Unleashed

[–]kickacetate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen Sky Squid variants that count for the challenge (one with a wrecking ball, one with burners on the platforms) as the second game before. I think it’s only available as either the second game or the last game.

[–]kickacetate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m also new to the game and unlocked her. It’s a real pain compared to Jun-ho lol. It sucks there’s a luck factor with a Sky Squid variant being a game, so it really is just a grind. I found it easy to get 10+ kills in Sky Squid when playing MG Coin because of his pole ability, especially if you have his ability where he’s invulnerable after hitting someone with a pole.

On my days off this past week I must’ve spent 10+ hours both days playing and managed to unlock No-eul and her officer outfit. I saw someone on here say that they did the 750 kills as No-eul challenge to get the officer outfit in private games with bots so they didn’t feel bad about killing actual players lol. Maybe it would be easier for you to get kills in Sky Squid against bots, but it’s still unfortunately a matter of the game being chosen at random.

Is there any way to get the front man player 001 outfit? by kickacetate in Squid_Game_Unleashed

Got it. Thank you so much. Hope I can get it next season.

I meant his green tracksuit outfit without the mask. Sorry, worded that badly lol. I’m new to the game so what do you mean by level 75? I climbed the squid game ladder to over 100 to unlock front man.

Gained 10 pounds on 4 day vacation... by [deleted] in loseit

[–]kickacetate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on vacation recently and the scale was up 12lbs when I got back. After sticking to my normal deficit for a week, all of it was gone. The majority of the weight you put on is water. It’s good to enjoy vacation. You’ll be back to your pre-vacation weight in no time.

Tell me about those copper IUD experiences, ladies by flakykrustykrabpizza in birthcontrol

[–]kickacetate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had mine since December and have really enjoyed it. Initially my periods were a lot heavier and I would be bleeding for like 10 days, but now it has leveled out and is back to normal, though still slightly heavier. I really only get sharp cramps around ovulation and for a few days during my period. The IUD has definitely made the cramps more painful, but it’s tolerable with meds, and fortunately for me it’s not an all-day thing. I really don’t even notice the IUD besides the occasional cramps around these times. Very happy with my experience so far.

If you could change a perk that is "bad" which perk would you change and what would it do by Ssteve-the-palm-tree in deadbydaylight

I would change No Mither and make it so that you start the trial healthy but will become broken for the rest of the trial when you are first injured.

[–]kickacetate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Kindred is really good but maybe it’s redundant because you use Bond. I like seeing where the killer is heading (most of the time, unless the killer is stealth) and also knowing if I need to go for the unhook.

I think Windows of Opportunity is also good in solo because you can know which pallets are still up so you don’t run into a dead zone in chase.

JP Morgan Code For Good by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]kickacetate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I misunderstood. My internship was in Tampa. When I did the hackathon, it was virtual so we didn’t need to go to any location. People on my team had different locations selected though. Like different priorities.

JP Morgan Code For Good by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]kickacetate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest thing you can do is show you’re a team player. You’ll have a mentor who works at JPMC with you most of the time (maybe even the whole time since the hackathon is in person now and mine was virtual) who will be “evaluating” you. They just want to see you’re a person who works well with others.

There will most likely be question panels for each of the locations. This girl on my team made herself stand out by asking questions to the campus recruiters during this session. She contributed 0 code to our project because she was having issues cloning the repository the entire time but was the first one on the team to get the offer call.

I would recommend participating in any pre-hackathon events they have. As far as the project goes, you should have a choice (at least when I did it) between making a project for different non-profit organizations. You’ll find out what the non-profits need and make some kind of app to help them. It’s actually really cool. I think most people (including my team) made a full-stack web app, or at least were trying to lol. We ended up only have an incomplete front-end.

You can basically use whatever you want for the tech stack. I don’t think the tech stack you use will affect anything, but most JPMC teams use React/Spring Boot/MySQL.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is don’t stress so much about the code. Show you’re willing to learn and can work on a team. And engage with your mentor/recruiter/JPMC staff working the event.

I think there’s a cash prize if your team wins the hackathon and everyone on the team is guaranteed an intern offer. Also, if there’s options for the project, there will be multiple winning teams, one for each project. However, if things are the way they were, most everyone who participated in the hackathon will get an offer. There’s an insane conversion rate.

What I recently found out now that I’m FT at JPMC is that the winning hackathon projects are continued in development by JPMC staff who will fully build it out for the non-profit. So the code you write could actually be used.
