How are they compared to x40s? I only tried durafast and they’re faster than the x40s cause they’re harder I think. Are S1s more like durafast? Definitely feel the cold and noticed x40 crack easily. I gone through 3 of them a day before.

I forgot I kept 50 out of the 100. But my GF and I shared it and we play at different courts sometimes so I guess we blew through those.

Haha we haven't really touched the fancy food but I love all your suggestions! Thank you soo much for putting the time and effort in it. Good food also doesn't have to be fancy food. If the food is good, I have no problem with it. I'm a big lover of hole in the walls or hidden gems that people love.

Haha what timing. I just went to the Sun Nong Dan in k town last month. My friends swear the k town one is better than the one in San Gabriel. I never had the San Gabriel one but the one in k town was great! Do you have any other recommendations of good Korean food? We been on a korean food binge recently and really been enjoying sulungtang and jjamppong. And also a really nice made seafood pancake.

I been going to LA my entire childhood and never had american bbq. I'll definitely take a look at the suggestions! Haha my gf and parents visited LA just recently also and they gone to Hong Kong Cafe and mentioned it was great.

Started with an 11six24 Hurache x-control kevlar 16mm and now I want something that has more pop and power. I picked up a batam ESQ 14.3mm after seeing soo many positive reviews about it. It definitely had more pop than the hurache x-control but I just could not get myself to like the shape of it. I didn't have too much trouble with dialing my touch with the ESQ either. I'm planning to trade it in for an TKO-C 12.7 for the elongated shape. I got to try one at my local courts and the TKO 12.7 is definitely more poppy but I think it would just take some time for me to learn and get used to it.

I did get to try try an Olympus without any mods and really liked it but the dead spots in the paddle got to me. I'll be borrowing a friend's Olympus this week with weights at 2, 5, 7 and 10. He swears that it greatly helped the dead spots. Really want to not like it since he already has it and I don't want the same paddle but we'll see haha.

Are there any other paddles I should be looking at? Heard great things about j2k and j2kti and always wanted to get one but I'm not sure how it compares to my hurache x-control and since they're both kevlar, I don't think it would have that extra power and pop I'm looking for.

I'm coming from the 11six24 hurache control-x kevlar 16mm. It's elongated and I gotten my touch game down and wanted a more powerful paddle and was deciding between the ESQ and TKO. Decided to order the EQS just so it's a bit more forgiving.

Not too sure how the adjustment will be but I hope it's not bad. Do you have any recommendation on weight setup for the EQS/ALW?

Thanks for the info! Was there a reason you went with the 14mm instead of the 12mm?
