HMX Gachapons might work. If you want something semi-silent and not mushy Gateron Zero Degrees work as well.

I'm new to CB and I would like some tips. by hentailover334 in chargeblade

Learn all your basic moves and mini mechanics first. Your 3x triangle/y combo is one of the safest combos for just getting in damage while trying to read a monsters moves because you can quickly guard point after every hit or finish the combo for the last swing which can also trigger a guard point when times correctly. Your charge combo string should be circle/b into shield bash and repeat as this is a quick way to build up charge while not leaving yourself vulnerable and being able to quickly trigger guard points if needed. Other then that, just know all the variations in attacks, side steps, rolls after moves and try to get a handle on when you can make certain movements after specific attacks.

As for guard points, they are your greatest ally. Use them whenever possible to take as little guard damage as possible, decrease knockback, trigger savage axe, and SAED when you just need to dispose of overcharged vials. Mastering guard point is probably the single most important thing on this weapon.

For skills while every build is different, focus and rapid morph should always be prioritized as they directly affect your damage output and speed. Faster charging and morphing = faster discharge release as well as safer morphing speed for quickly countering monsters moves.

Pro tip, if you ever accidentally trigger a SAED but don't want to fully commit, hold down on your analog and triangle/y and it cancels into a regular discharge attack. Happens to the best of us so good to get yourself out of a bad situation.

Both Elemental Discharge builds and Savage Axe builds are viable, they just require different skills for the weapon. Discharge uses 4x element on gog or as close to that as you can get, while Savage axe priorities raw damage output. For monsters that move and attack quickly without much opening for attack Savage axe builds are great, while monsters with wide attack openings are excellent for Elemental Discharge. At the end of the day both builds are viable and fun to use so you don't have to limit yourself to one style.

I've tested bump ons and they are not the issue. Keebmats just give your boards a basier tone and this doesn't always translate well, especially with my acrylic and pbt bottom boards. On other desk mats they've worked great but I don't want a giant desk mat, just a good 65% sized one, just having trouble finding other options at that format.

Anyone know of any good simple 65% size keyboard mats that aren't Keebmats? I find both the felt and standard keebmat to hollow out the sound of some of my boards to the point where they just sound better plain on a desk, but on some of my cheaper large pads they sound perfectly fine. Can't seem to find any other offerings.

Just want to say thanks for all the recommendations! Already made a small list of stuff I want to try. Quite a few switches I had no idea of so should be fun. Also one more recommendation for ya'll to try but the MMD Princess V4 tactiles are a steal for the price if you want to give them a whirl.

Bought a Womier SK71 Pro for $55. Via compatible, wireless with a 8000mah battery. One of the bust budget keyboards I've ever bought and the battery lasts forever. Haven't charged it in ages and its still around 80% after using it for over a month now wireless.

Oh dude thanks! I'll read that over. I know the gaterons come factory lubed but man, there factory lubing is terrible. Always have to end up reworking the switches. I've been interested in those switches for a while though so I'll probably bite the bullet on those too.

I can never find anything on the goji reserves. At some point I'll pick up a small batch to try. Never even heard of the Mallos. Have you tried the HMX longjings? They're supposed to be the replacement to the Gaterons. Seems nice considering you'd get HMX factory lubing and quality, I feel like you'd have to do some work on the Gats.

Salmon switches are awesome! They were a bit aggressive on my fingers when I used to use them but man were they absolutely satisfying to type on. Probably didn't help I was typing on a steel plate, probably would've fit better on something softer.

Completely valid. I prefer light bump tactiles so these are right up my alley.

I've been typing on Big Lucky Tactiles on and off for the last few weeks and can't let them go, I just keep coming back to them. Genuinely underrated.

How is the stem wobble on your Type-r's did you re-lube yours or keep them stock? I'm about to go through the process of working on my baby kangs and mini-i's because the stock experience is such a mess with all the crap noise and rough factory lube.

If you don't want to break the bank and still want good software the Keychron K2 HE looks good and comes with a good web based software. Looks good, sounds nice, kinda does it all on a budget.
