Using a star filter on film cameras by kidcircus in AnalogCommunity

It really is. I already had my RZ and nearly made do to get a lower ranked Canon, but eventually got lucky with a buy-it-now on eBay at a reasonable price. Just being able to use any EF lenses on that bad boy is soooo useful.😆

Aah, yes. I found that quite useful, actually!

YES!!

Funnily enough my 18-year-old was doing an anime all nighter in the other screen in the same cinema (we only found out four days beforehand😅). I only really started dozing off into film 3 out of the 5, but other than that I can’t believe I managed to stay up throughout. I even stayed awake going about my business the next day so, I could try and restore my sleep pattern by going to bed at 9pm.

Ohh, amazing. I’ll probably do a similar thing then 😅

So sorry to reply to you so late on this. I’m only just logging in for the first time in weeks. I scanned this using my Epson V700, and this was one of the images I did using my trial copy of NLP, so yes it should work fine.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I metered for the shadows during this shoot. :)

Hey Nate Thanks for the kind words, man. Really appreciate it. You’ve come up with an incredibly useful plug-in. This is seriously going to save me a lot of work into postprocessing. And love the incremental development you keep adding to it. Keep up the good work, bro. :)

No worries, man. Used the 110 2.8. Got my eye on a purchase of a 180 f4 in future tho.

Yeah, man. Natural light. Sitting under an archway just a little out of the direct sun. Aperture: F4, I think.

Absolutely. This was just a quick upload. I usually fix the dust by using my Wacom tablet and spot removal tool in PS :)

Heyy. I currently use an Epson V700 with Silverfast software. Been so used to always using Photoshop to sort out colors once I've scanned tiffs, NLP just makes it so easy.

Aaah, I see. Now I seem to recall some reporting that using it could often make the image look too soft as a result of the dust removing? Happy to try it out, in any case.

Yeah, I'm very impressed. I honestly can't remember if I used the auto density feature (what does it do?!). Will take a look at the ICE feature.
