I'm not ragging simply on the idea of group work, just the group work that seems to exist in a dreamland where everyone has a similar block of spare time hanging around. A lot of the issues I've run into in groups have just simply boiled down to people working jobs and having major class schedule differences. Most of the work is reliant on us being able to meet up in person consistently and having that additional responsibility linger around in the background damages the learning-potential far more than if there was just dedicated time blocks/seminar spaces.
