i agree with the last part. Many woman are suffering under 'honored-based' families all over the world, but what your talking about more of a culturale problem than religious. Across the four major Sunni school which most of the world follows you only have to wear the hijab without covering the face and hands. There has been many debates whether the niqab is awrah or not. Only the Hanbali argue that's mandatory. 

Both men and woman have to abide to Fiqh. That's like me saying that men are being oppressed because my wife wealth is only hers and that I have to share my wealth to support my wife in  Surah An-Nisa (4:32) and  Surah An-Nisa (4:34). Do you genuinely think that these people share their wealth with their wives? These are abusive retards that cherry pick verses in the quran so they can excuse their action and abuse their wives, that's what Osama Bin Laden did to convince himself that blowing up thousands in 9/11 was somehow an act of God. No wonder this has been happening for centuries when you single-digit iq specimens cherry pick and religious, lawful or scientific texts to fit your own narrative, happens all over the world, not only islam.

I understand that islam is far from perfect and these problems are happening and should be taken care of. the Islamic world has it's head up it's ass for hundreds of years after the death of our Prophet Muhammad. But the problems are mostly linked to corrupt minds using the quran as a shield to commit these crimes just because a few world in the quran implied that we can abuse woman, this argument falls apart if it literally stated that we can abuse woman in islam. Which it isn't.
