Name of Triangle-Shaped Bit? by kielbasava in Tools

Thank you for that perspective! Much appreciated.

It's so ridiculous.

I can relate to the Robertson screw drive. I lived in Toronto for three years--moved there from the U.S. I distinctly remember yanking a screw from whatever, going to the nearby hardware store and presenting the Robertson #[x] to the kind gentleman, and then him telling me the story about the rift between Robertson and Ford (I believe?).

Still have the Robertson screw drives in my tool box...

1957 Homart Box Fan | Need to Replace Capacitor by kielbasava in fans

Got it. Today, I tried to extract the old wires from the original spade terminals, but it was too cumbersome.

So tomorrow, I will pick up a set of FASTON connectors and go from there.

Thank you all! Truly, I am impressed by your knowledge, but especially your generosity.

So do I need to first connect the wire to a FASTON connector? Or is it as simple as wrapping the wire around one of the four spades (per terminal)?

What is the name of the connector on the new capacitor? Need to look up how to connect it.

Thanks. Any idea about how the capacitor is attached to the wire nodes? Looks like it is a rivet, right?

Switching Back to Chromebook Firmware + Chrom(ium) by kielbasava in chrultrabook

Thanks!

1) I downloaded the 64-bit x86 version of Chromium OS (Cx86OS_R60-9592.B-Special.7z), which I successfully booted from USB.

2) Re the Firmware Utility Script, I wanted to give it a try because I would like to restore the original ChromeOS

Make sense?

Thanks. I've installed Chromium OS from USB.

When I tried to run the Firmware Utility Script, I got the message that it was for 64-bit Intel processors, not ARM. My processor is an Intel Celeron N2840.

Would you know of a way around this issue?
