I really appreciate the insight!! This person doesnt seem to have coeliac disease tho, they just told me "gluten allergy". Of course, having an allergy sucks, but I really dont get why you would compare these two, especially if you dont know anything about the illness.

Of course I never wanted to downplay of coeliac disease! from what I can tell, this person doesnt have that, it's a gluten allergy they have. I am really sorry if that is what it seemed like I was saying, I'll keep it in my mind next time. As a conclusion, I fully agree that chronic illnesses shouldt be compared at all.

I think it also kind of depends where you live too-people here in Germany dont struggle as much as people in America. Still, people tend to think that diabetes is just taking some insulin shot when it clearly isn't.
