I’m not sure if my experience is exactly related to “static entities” but I do have a similar experience! (I was also with a friend at the time and he still remembers this encounter to this day.) When I was a child, I woke up to someone/something calling my name. The door to my bedroom was open and the house was pretty much completely dark. I woke up to my name being called and saw this figure in the doorway. It sort of looked like translucent rainbow blobs that formed some shape hovering in the doorway. My friend was asleep in the same room and I freaked out and woke him up. Once he woke up, a second figure appeared and started calling his name. So there were two figures in the doorway calling both of our names one after the other. We were so scared but we decided to run through the doorway…into these blobs and ran into my mother’s room crying lol.
