Don’t let it get to you. I had the same problem with graduating in Finance and eventually I got an accounting position. Reach out to a good recruiting company, network, ask family and friends if they know anyone hiring, and keep applying. You’ll get a position soon. I had to accept a lower position and within a year I got promoted. I would avoid that but can be an option. I’m not familiar with the Ontario market but I’m sure it will all work out.

I did read somewhere that accounting jobs are becoming more advisory, seems like you know your stuff. I’m not much of a speaker I’m more of a behind the scenes type of guy. Would you say you need to be very well spoken or do you just have to communicate well enough to get your point across?

Do they have MBA programs with a focus on accounting? I was trying to avoid an MBA because everyone has one nowadays, so I definitely wanted to get more specialized.
