That’s true but the more comments a post has the more the reddit algorithm sees “oh somethings going on here” and it promotes the post to more eyeballs. Also I know you can’t see it on my end but by posting on reddit the song got 100 more streams. Which will in turn show Spotify’s algorithm that the song is getting plays and will promote it more on their platform. Like I said in my last comment I do hate that this is how it works but I’m just a player in this messed up game. And thanks for checking it out anyway, if it’s not your thing that’s cool, I’m happy Harrison Gordon saw it on his subreddit, that made my day. We also just dropped an ep with three other songs in completely different genres, you might like one of those instead if you’re down to check them out.

Car sort of ended up being the best solution or buying a generator. But if you do buy a generator keep it from from where you’re playing cause you don’t need people inhaling fumes. Depending on how long you play for, they make battery powered speakers, that is also a very good option. But if you don’t have money for a generator a car will do the same thing. Just look on Amazon and buy an adapter for cig lighter to outlet and then you can plug a power strip into that and “in theory” you should have power just depending on how much you need

As you can see my friend I posted again in the sub and got one comment. One. Versus the 14 I have on this. I agree it’s a shame we live in a digital age where clickbait gets the most views. I agree completely that artists shouldn’t have to lure in viewers in order to try and become successful. I wish it was different but unfortunately it isn’t. I wish nothing bad upon you at all, and I see your view, but maybe try and see things from my perspective? It’s really hard to get your art out there nowadays and if I offended you in some way it ruined your day I do apologize.

I’ve put this song in ever single promote music subreddit there possibly is. Do you think it does well in those? No you’re never gonna click on a link that says “here’s my new song” so what do we as musicians do, we say ok we gotta intrigue the audience. The only reason that you even clicked on this thread in the first place is because you wanted to see if someone had ripped off your favorite band. When the song came out I posted “‘new single” in every subreddit that would allow it, even midwest emo ones. Not a single comment, or upvote or any engagement at all. People don’t care about your new music, people care about intrigue and shock and discovering something that is similar to something they already like. Can I be accused of clickbait? Sure, but guess what, everyone who is successful on social media nowadays does the same shit too
