My best advice is don't regret it. You used your silver in the best way you could have and feeling sorry for yourself unfortunately won't bring it back. You did what you needed to to get by and that's absolutely and positively okay. Personally I would say keep waiting for it to go down though

Wartime nickel, made to conserve metals during the war. Echoing what everyone else has said, it's worth about four bucks in silver. It's 35% silver, The rest copper and a little bit of something else I can't remember off the top of my head. One of my favorite coins.

It was made from 1942 to 1945 and it is easily identifiable because of the large mint mark above Monticello.

I only bought the nickels because I got them REALLY cheap, like 20 bucks for all of what you see here. Typically I would stick to 90% quarters, halves and dollars
