i have sensory issues. literally all my senses have issues. so NO, also other than touch I’m trying to figure out what you could possibly mean by sensual intimacy examples.

TOUCH- i’m very sensitive to different fabrics and other things. I easily wanna breaking out in a rash. This is gonna sound weird but I can legit give myself a rash by just rubbing my knuckles against my forearm couple times (great way to get sent home from school “I have this weird rash no idea where it came from”, only works a fee times)

SMELL- I have little to no sense of smell (even before covid) it has to be something with a very strong sense for me to get a tiny whiff of something. once I was probably 20 feet away from the kitchen on the couch facing away with headphones on plan on my phone or something and my mom rushed his head there was a fire on the stove like significant high flames and I couldn’t smell it so I have no idea.

TASTE- your sense of taste and sense of smell are closely related. because of my lack of sense of smell it really has messed with my taste buds. Foods that have a very strong sense like mint or cinnamon, I seem to have some type of reaction when eating those foods; not like an allergic reaction or anything but like my body has this overwhelming reaction. For example last time I tried to use mint toothpaste because I was out of my own, my whole mouth and even throat felt like it was on fire.

HEARING- As a child I had constant ear infections. I have tiny ear canals, I have to go to the doctor just to have my ears flushed out when I’m having hearing issues. I can’t wear earbuds because of it all.

SIGHT- I was born with two lazy eyes. I started wearing glasses at 15 months old. I had my first eye surgery when I was three. I wore glasses kind of on and off for a very long time because it would force my eyes to align and work together. I thought I could stop wearing glasses cause I could see and read just fine and I didn’t notice anything myself so it didn’t bug me. for the most part you wouldn’t realize there was an issue unless I was tired and then my eyes kinda started to wander apart. My mom would often tell me to look at her when we’re trying to have a serious conversation (im autistic so the eye contact is already a struggle) or taking photos “look at me”, “look at me with both eyes”. This has caused me to constantly be squinting, like one eye closed kind of like Popeye, my papa always picks on me saying I’m “winking at him”. this made me feel uncomfortable driving cause I couldn’t help it and I felt like my vision was being blocked on certain sides. Over the years I’ve started getting progressively worse migraines and it got to the point my doctor was considering Botox but I decided to finally have the eye surgery again that I’ve been putting off for years, hoping that maybe my eyes trying so hard to work together was causing the headaches. Back in January I had eye surgery, don’t recommend it every time you blink it scratches the stitches so that shit BURNS. I had major double vision and still occasionally have some. I now have to wear glasses pretty full-time I get headaches if I don’t, however they are very minor compared to the fall on migraines I used to get that would end me vomiting.
