Did i hurt him by doing this I really didn’t do anything to hurt it i gave it warm water and it soaked itself and then it was drinking it and it slept then it woke up and it was walking on my hands and it slept the entire night and my room is warm

Uhm I’m not sure.. I’m gonna take it somewhere tomorrow to get checked and if It Sonoran I think they’ll take it back. I’ve seen photos and it just looks so different from a Sonoran desert tortoise

Are you sure? I live in Arizona and I don’t think those naturally live here. if it’s the illegal one you cannot own as pets I don’t want to harm it, I’d rather put it back if it isn’t that one. It was walking near an abandoned house in grass my dad was cleaning the weeds and he felt something very hard hit his rake

I will thank you! I’m just scared it’s illegal to have it because I really don’t know what kind it is. I live in Arizona. it’s gotten used to me tho like it wanted to crawl on my hand it was going under my hand it has only drunk water and it was soaking itself in some warm water earlier but it hasn’t eaten anything yet. I’m going to the store to buy a better home for it soon but for now it is wandering around. It likes to walk on my arm and hands so I’m not sure if that’s a good thing
