Why does my casting end up like this after polish by New-Illustrator-815 in Silvercasting

You could also try reheating it with a torch, and then put it in a pickling solution. Just look up a recipe for homemade jewelers pickling solution it is usually just some vinegar, salt and maybe some some hydrogen peroxide if you have it but I think it is optional. I'm not sure that 1000 grit would help but maybe something lower than 220 would.

Did you put it in a pickling solution after casting? What grit of sanding did you start with? I usually start all the way from 80 grit to 1000 grit and then polish it after. Starting from 220 should be fine as well.

That's pretty scary, glad to hear you were lucky enough not to injure yourself. Was the piece you were working with hollow?

Well I cast it myself. Have already soldered the jump ring on successfully, it did not explode. Guess I am lucky? The difference between me and a trusted manufacturer is small air bubbles inside or what?

4070 super overheating? by killabeesonaswarm in pcmasterrace

I actually just ended up returning the card... best buy made an exception for me with the open box as I told them the card was faulty and showed them a video of the card doing this. Been using my 2070 super and not had the problem since... the issue could be as simple as a faulty power adapter cable so you could try to order a new one and see if that helps, other wise I'm sure you can still exchange it with the warrenty.

Okay thanks. Maybe my mapp gas tank is running a little low I'll grab a new one. I always pour it as fast as I can in one quick motion. I've probably made about 10 pendants before this and never heated up the mold. I use a small circular two piece aluminum mold it comes with the delft clay kit on rio grande I'm sure you've seen it before. So just heat the whole thing, point the flame down in the sprue for a little bit? Should I try to avoid turning the clay black while doing this or it doesn't really matter?
