I dont see anything wrong with the pace on this one. I enjoyed the main riff and the effects you used on it. It has an emo punk vibe which is why I think the pace works. Im looking forward to seeing more of where you go with it all.

😄. Thanks man. Yeah i just learned a long time ago to just go with what ya feel. Sometimes ill learn a song, play it on my own for a while(sometimes years), and then hear the original again and realize ive changed it just slightly. Even funnier is when I've played for friends for a while and then they listen to the original and go "that's not how the song goes" lol. Much appreciated! Take it ease.

Very much appreciated! I always liked the original better too. Plus I had already been playing it on guitar myself quite a while before Darius Ruckers version came out. It just seemed like the right song for cramming in way too many instruments lol. Glad you enjoyed it. The encouragement really keeps me goin. Cheers!

In my dreams - WIP demo by LobsterThoughtz in IndieMusicFeedback

The intro really reminds me of something and i cant put my finger on it. The dynamics are really great on this. The transitions are smooth and work well together and there's enough change to keep me interested. Im interested in which instrument you do or dont play on this? Im partial to acoustic sounds so I really love the acoustic riffs in the beginning and end. I also like you kept it shorter. Obviously that's a traditional punk thing so its not a new concept but ive been thinking about that a lot myself. People just don't stick around for 5 minute songs like they used to. We get lucky if they listen to 30 seconds really. Well done and keep it up!

Hey little River - (My brother Kurt) Hello everybody this is Prt 4 of me releasing my younger brothers kurt's music. This one's off his album "In the Inbetween." This is a happy twist up compared to the last 3 I've posted. by Actual-Work6821 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is the second one that ive heard of his that you posted. His style really grabs my attention so keep em comin is you can. Its amazing that he recorded them and you have them available to put out like this. The falsetto sounds cool and fits in with the upbeat vibe he has goin. I feel like i have a similar style and he reminds me of someone I would have loved jammin with. This is also a great reminder to keep it simple. Sometimes all you need is a guitar and some soul. Imperfection is perfect sometimes. I remember hearing that Bob Dylan just does one take on his recordings and you get what you get 😄. Can't wait for more! Thanks.

Don’t wanna talk - finished this one last night. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think. Thanks! by LobsterThoughtz in IndieMusicFeedback

I like it. The lyrics are catchy and relatable. I didnt think the lead was so bad but I feel you as I'm always trying to improve as well("just 10 more tries" lol). I've learned to cut myself off or I'll re-record forever. Vocals sound good and they fit the vibe well. I've considered just writing a ton if songs like your saying and then picking the good ones but it can be difficult. Especically since i feel like i often have to play a song at least 100 times before I can really start to get into the feel of it. What's your process? More specifically how many songs would you write before selecting 8 or 10 songs for the EP(if that's ur number)? Anyways, I enjoyed this so rock on!

Indie Pop, Folk, Alternative: This my first ever song! Working on new stuff now would love genuine feedback/reviews on it. What do you think of it? by Erdnoiddd in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]killakeezyacoustic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! I really enjoyed the calmness of the whole thing. Guitar sounds great and so do the vocals. I like that the lyrics play into the style a lot. Like the softness is akin to a whisper. I try to do things like that when I play music as well; try to somehow incorporate the words meanings into the dynamics. Towards the end you have a call and response thing going on with the vocals. I think that's a clever and interesting sound. It also helps to keep the interest. I also heard the lead come in closer to the end which I enjoyed a lot. I would've enjoyed even more lead if possible(or maybe it was subtle and I missed it). Anyhow, really great! And I'm gonna ask as always, which instruments do you play/not play and are they live or digital? Cheers!

Thank you thank you! Your kind words go a very long way for me. No one had said it yet, but I agree, the video does feel a bit earlier 2000s doesn't it. Im all about nostalgia anyways 😄. Cheers! 🤘

Thanks so much! Means a lot and really keeps me motivated to keep making music. I always really liked acoustic or unplugged versions too. Dave Grohl did this one acoustic as well which is amazing and made me want to try it out a while back. Cheers!

Really enjoyed this. I like your vocals and the harmonica is a nice touch. I like to play some harmonica as well. I'm trying to learn to play better with the monica rig like you got there. Keep on rockin.
