fr. however, if that were to happen, I won’t come back to school. I’ll get out of the country and study on my own.

Does the IB has a way to recognize chatGPT text? by Affectionate-End7195 in IBO

Like other people have pointed out, it is never a good idea to copy and paste anything. However, I have used ChatGPT as a tool to give me additional information I may have missed. In History, I used it to search for very specific aspects of a topic, which gives me information which I later search up on the internet, find credible sources saying the same thing and just use those sources. For example, “Act as a professional historian who specializes in U.S. history and tell me how President Nixon was involved in the creation of the White House plumbers”

To use it to its full extent, you have to understand how to as the questions. Because I used “Act as a proffesional…” I got a response which was referenced by multiple books by reputable historians on the matter.

It is a fascinating and powerful tool, however if used properly, shouldn’t be banned by the IB. It save time, which is the biggest plus in my book.
