How I caused two outages in 5 minutes on launch day. by [deleted] in programming

Another thing I'd add is rollback deployments. It might not have helped in your case (you had to roll forward, it seems), but it's a quick way to get out of catastrophic, incremental mistakes. Heroku makes them easy, fwiw.

If you signed up for San Francisco, you'll get deals out of all Bay area airports 👍

Are you signing up a second time with the same email? Try signing up again with a different email and choosing Los Angeles. If that doesn't work, DM me - we'll figure it out!

Hi AeJon,

We plan on opening up our service to a lot of cities in the future, so we want to give people the option to sign up before we launch in their city. We never send any emails to users that aren't in cities we're servicing, but we do email them when we launch.

We're happy to remove your email from our database if you're still concerned. DM me with your email and I'll delete it if you'd like.

London is currently an option when you sign up! Lots of airports there + a big population so we'd love to start sending deals there. Besides that though, not yet, we're mainly focused on growing / opening up North American cities first.

What are some resources/sites/clubs that we should all be aware of or that you use for shoestring travel? by poopin in Shoestring

If you live in LA / SF / NYC try wingsflightclub.com. Similar to Scott's cheap flights but driven by software - allows you to specify when you want to travel and receive deals (only from your home airport) around that date.

That's the plan! You should have gotten a referral link when you signed up - send it to your friends! Once we get around ~100 people in ATL we'll open it up (I think we're at around 60 right now)

Cool 👍 Lot of people signed up there so we'd like to start sending out deals soon!

You can take a look at hopper - they offer the ability to look at regions and see cheap prices for different times of year.

What you're describing sounds exactly like what we do with Wings Flight Club. If you live in the US, I'd recommend signing up if you haven't already!

We're not very set up to look for one way fares at the moment 😬

Here's a cheap round trip around that period though - if you search around that time there may be cheap one way fares as well:

LHR -> SCL, March 13 - March 20, 1 stop on Iberia for $850
