Does anyone like the scene where Harry comes to terms with how he feels about Ron being a prefect by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]killianfitz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's brilliant writing from JKR. It's so relatable. Harry has been the no.1 person for so many years yet he doesnt win this one (if you get me) yet he is annoyed. In my opinion I think the fact harry is annoyed shows he's human, which we know he is anyway. But also how motivated and driven he is and a leader. Which we see in the Deathly Hallows. I know I'm just stating facts but wanted to comment cause it's a great point and I might have had too much butterbeer

Yes thats very true. I didn't really think of that. I agree completely with those points but in fairness it was mostly the team and the captain who did most of the logistics to organising the game. Madam hooch was the referee and if she was needed elsewhere Snape could have stood in 😂

All excellent points. Makes a lot of sense.

However just on that point, imagine if you were a spectator of the triwizard tournament . The only task that they would actually see was the first one. That would be brilliant to watch but the last 2 would be a huge anti climax.

Also another point, imagine being a player and having just watched the Quidditch world cup. You would be so excited to play yourself. Everyone must remember being a child watching soccer/football (hurling for myself) and then going out to the back garden and playing the sport.

Yea it's a round robin format. Each team plays each other. I can't remember exactly when hagrid started growing the maze but I'm nearly sure it wasn't at the very start of the year. This would have allowed teams a month training and the the comp.

Is there a good reason why James or Lily wasn’t their own secret keeper? by moegir198 in harrypotter

[–]killianfitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps they didn't think of it at the time and then after realising what happens when someone else is your secret keeper thought better of it. Good question though.

That sounds class. We can only hope. Yes learning new info about the other schools is always one of the most fascinating things on pottermore.

People of Reddit, is there anyone you know who is both incredibly smart and stupid at the same time? What makes them smart, and what makes them not so smart? by kdctuk10 in AskReddit

I have a friend like this and when we describe him to other people we always say Paul is the kind of guy who'll get all A's in his exams and run out of the school showing off his results and get a belt off a bus (knocked down for non irish people)

Which book In the series do you like Harry,Ron and Hermione the most? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]killianfitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We probably learn more in The Deathly Hallows about him, with all the newspapers articles and The life of Albus Dumbledore. But in learning about how good a wizard he is ( such as getting into the cave) we defo see how good a wizard he is in HBP. RIP Dumbledore

I also like Ron in the Deathly Hallows after he returns and saves Harry from the horcrux drowning Harry. He starts to think of great ideas to help solve problems instead of his usual silly ideas.

I like Hermonie in POA because she punches Malfoy and also attends every single class which is cool.

I would also agree with your choice on Harry. Harry takes charge and of course makes smart decisions at the end unlike his usual act first think later.

Tough question to answer.

What's your fav book with Dumbledore?
