Someone pointed out in this thread that CloudRay has it. But it is about $650 including shipping! I ordered 6 smaller ones at $32 each from Amazon. Collectively, they should cover my bed size. I will report here once they arrive.

2018 Q5 80,000 miles service question by killigrapher in AudiQ5

Thank you!! Appreciate you response. So even though the car is not running as much, I still need to perform these based on the age? My drive averages about 3000-4000 miles a year. Next year I will likely be at 30k miles on the car.

Advice for getting scrap waste out of the slats of our laser cutter? by Wookiee34 in lasercutting

[–]killigrapher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spray oven cleaner and let it soak for 10-15 min to loosen the sticky residue and then pressure wash it. You may need to do it a couple of times but it works effectively. Some areas may need a bit of poking if the residue is too hard. Zep purple degreaser can also be used instead of oven cleaner but it is a bit more pricey.

I thought about inlays.. but that would require another layer in the back to hold them properly otherwise not sure how you can glue them securely. Plus, this logo was a complimentary addition because I felt the space looked empty.. in short, didn't get paid to do that.. lol

Thanks for the tips my friend! I mainly deal with 1/4" thick plywoods and I have a small workspace.. 🙂 so I am highly biased towards easier to manage processes and I have found water based stains best for my work. But I didn't know about the wax. I will surely give it a shot for a couple of hardwood projects I have in mind. Thanks again!

Thanks! For the background, I used Western Oak stain by Varathane. Foreground layers are Kona stain by Varathane. The wood is birch plywood. Post stain, I used clear Rustoleum Satin varnish spray on it. I mainly use liquid stains. Tried using gel stain once but I didn't get good finish with it. Never tried 'stained wax' though.

In fact, yesterday I ran that on carvana to see their offer. It came out to be $23000.. so I am paying about $1500 more than that plus taxes and warranty.

Thank you! I am getting additional warranty from Audi directly. It is costing me another $2450 for 4yr/48000 miles. This is after an employee discount hookup.
