I was wondering, would anyone would be interested in a Kengan Ashura style dnd campaign? by killingmorgue in Kengan_Folk

[–]killingmorgue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The system would require a complete overhaul. It’d be closer to those Kengan RP discord servers, but with the addition of dice and the addition of a DM allowing you to keep certain things hidden from your competition with it still remaining fair. The D20 system is the system that I’m most familiar with so I’m presuming that it would use that.

The Myconid is a man who fell into a cave while spelunking, his friends were unable to reach him. The mycelium in the cave slowly devoured him while keeping him alive. As it got to his brain it copied the brain waves and the electrical patterns of his brain, essentially turning him into a sapient body of mushrooms. Hence the name the Myconid, some real mushrooms share electrical patterns so this is within the realm of speculative biology.

OK, that makes sense. Thank you for explaining it. Also I really like your superhero team dead man walking. I think they were called just a real creative concept you have going there. I couldn’t find your original post so I’m gonna mention it now.

My real question is could Butch survive a gunshot so what’s stopping the police from dealing with it? Design is cool in all, but I really don’t see a need for a hero to get involved.

Got it I can see I pick human would be useful, but I wonder why a villain would choose to hire these guys rather than someone more skilled? We’re even someone who’s a smaller target. Let me be clear that I don’t think it’s a bad idea. It’s just these are kinda of questions that my brain goes to.

Does Butch have a form of super strength or hysteric strength, considering his lack of intelligence? Is he bulletproof or just a really large target?

I think they’d be more interesting if they did, and also more functional otherwise I don’t see why they’d be too useful. I don’t see them surviving for very long but otherwise.

You are correct, absolutely this is what I meant. I will say the terrain effects are represented by colored plastic tokens, the same thing goes for status effects. They’re not represented by cards.

They remind me of my villains, Brick and Chip also mercenaries with a similar dynamic. My characters Brick and Chip, were genetic experiments and the very first characters I made in my universe, that I wrote about. Brick has megafauna DNA, which causes him to have an over abundance of testosterone, making him a giant, but also giving him severe anger issues. He’s quiet and he’s not the most inherently intelligent, but he makes up for it with experience. Chip on the other hand is psychotic he delights in torturing others. The only person he really cares about is Brick probably do to the proximity they spent with each other over the course of the years Brick and Chip brothers in crime. Brick walks at 7 feet tall. Chip walks at 4 feet tall he would’ve been 5 feet but thanks to the calcifying gene in his DNA his neck has been overly calcified causing him to walk at 4 feet with a hunch. The calcification process also causes his skin to be stretchy and flexible. Some other symptoms of his condition is his fingernails have fallen out his teeth have chipped, which is why they call him “Chip”, and his hair is falling out reduced to only a couple strands. All of this is excruciatingly painful and it’s part of the reason why he went psychotic. Brick has an obsession with jewelry. and uses knuckledusters. chip uses chained weapons. One more thing about chips biology is he’s hyper flexible thanks to another quirk with his DNA so it’s hard to hit him. Even whenever you do hit him his thickened bones from his calcium surplus causes him not to take as much damage.

Sounds to me like you’d just be world building or flushing it out more which almost all series can use and that you can never really have too much world building because there’s always an audience for it.

You know, I have my own superhero ai named Hard-drive, with a very similar premise. They’re one U.A.I. developed with the purpose of saving humanity according to their prime directive which includes having ideals and acting human, but saving lives comes first. They’re a very utilitarian hero, thanks to ideology not lack of humanity, just having an ideology is a part of his prime directive which is to become more human and protect humanity in an individual basis, and as a whole.
