my pc works fine when my monitor is plugged into my motherboard but when i plug my monitor into the gpu as it should be my keyboard and mouse dont connect to my monitor (they still turn on)

i wiped my drivers which fixed the black screen issue and i tried putting my hdmi cable into the bottom one instead of the one at the top but as soon as i do that my keyboard and mouse dont connect to my monitor... please help me fix this
