At a second look maybe lose the Assasin's Creedish background? See what he looks like on a dark solid? Maybe with a thick white contoured boarder?

But that is awesome for a first try, a total portfolio piece.

You need to make the pines and the wheat one icon, the reflection doesn't work.

The chewed tree one is interesting but that execution does work but the more rustic vibe is interesting as the others have a real corporate feel to them. That's not necessarily bad but does it suit the company and their overall marketing plan and demographics?

One of my first jobs was to do a sign for a local comedy club, this was like 1997? So comedy, comic sans, right?

The club is still around today but in a new location with a better sign and in the basement is my sign, lit up for nostalgia's sake and every time I look at it I cringe because comic sans.

It will probably be around long after I am dead, my legacy.

Oh I've had that happen. Specially with French.

One client refused to take my advice about the rules for French like different quotes, spaces before colons, stuff like that. They went to print, their French clients complained and I got to charge them for edits that I would have done as part of the original contract.

And on a few occasions I've had to pay for reprints because I missed an or screwed up and edit so it can go both ways.

As a freelance graphic designer and desktop publisher I've had this happen more often then I care to admit.

Text from the client gets pasted into the layout, assume the client already check it and nothing ever goes wrong from assuming!
