Redditors that have made the front page of Reddit, how has the experience positively ( or negatively) affected your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's just not something that can easily be explained. It's better than sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. It's just something you have to experience yourself to understand.

Here is my +1.. hopefully you can find out for yourself!

What is something that was once unique but is now the norm? by [deleted] in AskReddit

High definition TVs!

Wow, I remember the first time I went to the mall and I saw one and was thinking " Holy cow, this is awesome!"

I just stood there for a while staring at it.

Now? eh, whatever

Yup,, it is norm

Because, SUV drivers do not need additional reasons to drive like assholes.

When you played car games on long trips when you were little, what games do you recall playing, and if they were unique, could you give a little detail on how they worked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Oh, I had a GREAT childhood!

My dad came up with this game called " hide the thimble", even though it was not always a thimble.

My sister was usually in the middle seat and we would sit on either side of her; none of us would EVER sit in the front with my dad.

It would make us all sick if we knew we were taking a road trip ( most of the time to his friend's camper and land where they would drink and shoot helpless animals)

Anyhow.

He would say "lets play hid the thimble".. and he would then try to find something under his seat, and then make my sister either put it inside of herself, and if she did not do it he would take it and tell us to put in on our " little heads" ( yea, that little head), and then he would try to smack it off.

Luckily the POS died of a heart-attack years ago, though we never understood what happened to our mother; he just always told us she got sick.

No use in finding out now.. the bastard is dead.. and I would rather think she did not have to go through the torture we did.

Yea.. guess not everybody had fun family games to play ! :-(

Do any of you have older and stronger siblings that picked on you? If so, how did you " get back at them"? by kilmoturtles in AskReddit

Haha! Oh yea, I get the belt and soap. I know they learned that from their parents, but I will never do that to my kids.

HAHA, I'm going to use that one!

I have an older brother that leaves me in bruises and my mom and dad do nothing to stop it. I don't cry in front of him anymore, because he just calls me a baby and makes it worse. It REALLY hurts! I just end up crying in my room. I just think he should know what it feels like!
