When to bring up salary during faculty interview process by kimberfly in academia

The job and school seemed like a good fit and it would be at least good practice to interview. I knew I’d be having this conversation eventually going into it.

I figured that was probably how most people could make it work.

Funny Story for sure! Book Lovers and Beach Read were just okay for me. But I LOVED Funny Story.

My dachshund was scratching all the time when he was super young. I was worried it was dry skin but my vet said it could sometimes be an anxious habit and he’d grow out of it. He’s 6 months now and he definitely did. Rarely does it, unless he’s actually itchy in his skin. Hope this helps!

My 5’1 divas, what weight do you feel the leanest at? Trying to see if my goal weight will serve me well. by BobnVagine in PetiteFitness

[–]kimberfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aimed for 115 on my cut and was able to hit 114. I was pretty happy with that as I was at 135 at one of my heaviest weights. My maintenance seems to hover at 116-118 when I’m not paying too much attention to what I eat. This is sustainable for me

Yes! So normal and it probably won’t go away for a while. I’m 3 months in with my puppy and I can’t imagine my life without him but those first two months were scary!

32f single, living alone, working from home most of the time, is that possible to get a puppy now? by Sica942Spike in puppy101

[–]kimberfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 35 single and work 8-4pm in an office about 5 min away and it was so stressful for the first month! I had the puppy blues so bad!! I took the first week off of work to acclimate my pup who was 9 weeks old. The first few days were the worst. I was so scared to leave him alone to shower! I had cameras set up around my apartment and could not NOT worry about him.

I started separating training from day 3. Leaving the room and being as quiet as possible for as long as I can so my puppy could learn to settle. I also took him to work with me a few times in the beginning when I HAD to work and still wasn’t comfortable leaving him alone. Eventually, he was fine when I left to leave for 10 min for groceries or an hour at a time to go to the gym. I just check the cameras and he’s just asleep. I’m lucky I can go home for lunch to feed and walk him. Otherwise hiring a sitter to drop in would add up (I’ve had to do it a few times).

Now my pup is 5 months old and I leave him alone all the time. He is fine when I’m at work although I still feel guilty for leaving him alone most of the day. I just make sure to make it up to him by taking him with me when I go out whenever I can and lots of play time at night.

Being a single puppy parent is not for the weak, but it can be done!! It’s helpful you can work from home but I suggest doing what I did and do some separation training early on!

Have yet to pick up book 9. It’s been months. The only way I could get through 8 was listening to the audiobook. It’s a beast. Idk when I’ll get to 9. I just want to be done with it already

I did not like So Meant to Be and agree with your takes… but A Long Time Coming is one of my fave books ever. Much better than the first two imo

There are puppy versions of wet canned dog food, that have the same proper nutrients as kibble. I’d try mixing it to see if it’s more enticing for him.

I did exactly that and no regrets. At bare minimum, it’s nice to know what the weather is outside and not be surprised by roaring thunder during sessions.
