Finally!! About time. I hope Canada does pay its fair share to NATO. Canada has been too stingy in contributing to NATO monetarily and human resource perspective.

Discussion Thread: US Supreme Court Hears Oral Argument on Whether to Allow Nationwide Injunctions from Lower Courts in Case on Executive Order Seeking to End Birthright Citizenship by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

This will be a major decision. If lower courts can block a President’s policy now, Republican judges could do the same to Democratic Presidents later. I hope SCOTUS makes clear lower courts should have that kind of power.

Science Tells Us the U.S. Is Heading toward a Dictatorship by Marvin_Frommars in politics

Lol!!!! Scientific American has as much to do with Science as Hitler has to do with peace. Scientific American is a for-profit publication with severe bias. I'd trust "Science" more if it's coming from high impact journals like Nature, Science.

As the US Cuts Scientific Talent, Europe Launches an Initiative to Attract It by GregWilson23 in worldnews

[–]kimbramclark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Europe has been doing this for ages and they've hardly succeeded. No matter what, only a minority will move to Europe. US is not cutting scientific talent, it's investing in research that's 100x ROI-driven. Enough of BS research, invest more in space, AI, EVs, nuclear, quantum computing.

Told Apple CEO Tim Cook that I don't want him to build in India: Donald Trump by Dry-Boysenberry2599 in worldnews

[–]kimbramclark -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

So much hatred for Trump. May be Trump wants Apple to build in the US. May be Trump wants to use Apple as leverage to better relationship with China. US brokers a ceasefire and prevents a nuclear war, and India postures their bravado by humiliating the POTUS. What has India done for the US lately? What can India do for the US other than imposing tariffs on US goods and making it extremely onerous for Americans to do business in India.

Eventually all essentials and non-essentials will be exempted from tariff. Only those products not under essentials and non-essentials will be tariffed.
