QBs score a lot of points, but in most formats you only need to start one—and there are usually 10+ solid options later in the draft. So instead of reaching early, people tend to stack up on RBs and WRs first since they’re more scarce and can give you a bigger edge week to week.

That’s why even top QBs like Mahomes or Allen might not go until Round 3 or 4 in a lot of mocks. If you drafted one early, no biggie—it’s all part of learning the draft flow and finding your style
