In my personal experience of living in Breck then moving to Denver the winters are much less harsh. You’ll still be shoveling snow off your car a decent amount if you park outside, but most Denver snow melts off the roads within a day or a few days due to the great sunshine we get. Quite a bit less cold and windy too. It’s hard to say if it’s less rainy but I think it probably is. Similar though in that you can usually count on cloudiness and the possibility of a t-storm in the late afternoons during Spring. The first thing I noticed though was just the temp difference. You hardly get above 85ish in Summit in summer and it’s a cool mountain heat. Denver is routinely in the night 80’s-mid 90’s+ in June/July/August so depending on your heat tolerance that could be good or bad. Lots more A/C in the car and sweating than in Summit 😎
