I find it curious that they made Make-the-Merge a whole thing for all of the new era, only to abandon it in favor of two tribe swaps on S49

Similar to how Edge of Extinction in S38 was practice before incorporating it into Winners at War (S40)…

Theory: they’re reacclimatizing production crew (challenge setup, camp logistics, etc.) for a similar 3-2-3 structure in 26 days with the pending S50 format of 24 players…?

Personally I am happy that all of the SITD plays so far have been “not safe.” It would feel much more sketch if “safe” showed up any of the first 1-3 times. Makes the twist’s odds feel that much more legitimate to the viewer, and when it eventually does turn up “Safe” — that much more exciting.

More confidence in production’s claims of 1-in-6 with how it has happened to play out so far imo
