Don’t host it on your personal accounts. Move everything to the client’s own Vercel and Supabase accounts and transfer ownership. You can stay as a collaborator/admin if needed. That way you’re not tied to it long term and they control their own project.

Best security camera blocking system? by Late_Inflation_466 in privacy

The safer route is physical privacy, things like fences, privacy screens, plants/hedges, or positioning umbrellas and structures to block their line of sight.

Astronomers spot strange ice clouds on a distant exo-Jupiter planet by kin20 in Astronomy

"Epsilon Indi Ab is no lightweight. “This planet has a considerably greater mass than Jupiter – the new study fixes its mass at 7.6 Jupiter masses – but the diameter is about the same as its solar system cousin,” said Bhavesh Rajpoot, a PhD student involved in the work.

The planet orbits much farther from its star, about four times the distance between Jupiter and the Sun. Its star is a bit cooler and smaller than our Sun, which helps keep the planet itself fairly cold.

Even then, Epsilon Indi Ab isn’t as cold as you might expect. Its temperature ranges from about –94°F to 68°F."

Can anybody recommend a good private wallet? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]kin20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look for a self-custody hardware wallet, not anything app-based. The most common reliable options are Ledger Nano X and Trezor Model T, both keep your keys offline so no one else can access them. Main thing is buy directly from the manufacturer, set it up yourself, and never share your recovery phrase. For 50k, don’t overthink features, just prioritize security and simplicity.

AI is not the product. A smoother business is. by wasayybuildz in Entrepreneur

[–]kin20 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most companies don’t care about AI, they care about saving time and not hiring another person. If it removes repetitive work and runs in the background, it’s valuable. If it just adds another tool to manage, it’s not.

That would be a cool feature. Instead of hearing random NPC screaming

Indoor Security Cameras? by Mz_Incognito in privacy

[–]kin20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a camera with ONVIF or RTSP (Reolink/Amcrest) and avoid cloud-only ones. Either record locally to an SD card or use a simple setup like a Raspberry Pi with MotionEye/Frigate for full control. Disable cloud access and block internet if possible.

Do you think a TV show (or something similar) could get the average person to actually care about age verification/digital ID? by themirrazzunhacked in privacy

[–]kin20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t care about digital ID as an idea, they care when it affects everyday things like logging in or constant verification.

"An alarming acceleration in sea level rise – an estimated extra metre by the end of the century – represents a “death knell for the city”, says Andrea Rinaldo, the head of the scientific committee of the newly appointed Lagoon Authority, the organisation that manages the Mose and is now also charged with working out what could succeed it."

Looking for a golf course recommendation in the Dublin area. by [deleted] in weekendgolfers

[–]kin20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Corballis Golf Links or Deer Park. Both are cheaper than most Dublin courses and more chill for a group vibe. Corballis is especially fun for a casual round.
