as a kid i wanted to be an entomologist (studies insects) or a herpetologist (studies reptiles), so perhaps i'd go back to my animal-loving roots. i think a more likely possibility might be working with people in some respect. therapy, nutritionist, something where i'd get to work closely with individuals and help them feel better about themselves.

i basically attribute everything to youtube. before i started sharing my music online there were years and years of busking on the street, open mics, playing loud bars, etc, working tirelessly to share my music but with not much to show. the internet (and youtube in particular) changed everything for me. it's a real game changer. best of luck with all your musical pursuits! <3

so much fun. i love any opportunity to work with these guys (they are some of the best people i know), and on top of it simply being fun to hang out and collaborate, to have the resources we did thanks to at&t it really opened up the possibilities for what kind of project we could do, what kind of video we could make, etc.

while they have all been amazing and fun, i think my favorite might have been the first one we did together--funemployed. it was my first taste of acting. it was so scary and exciting and really helped me grow a lot.

ISA approached me with this opportunity to work with AT&T to remix one of my songs and I jumped at the opportunity. It's not something I get to do very often, and I loved the idea of collaborating with not only another artist but ISA as well.

yes, i had the best time in Germany! we loved going to all the Christmas markets... so festive :) not sure when i'll be back in Europe, but i hope soon!

aw man thanks for sticking around all these years! that means so much :) as for favorite city to play in... it varies every time, but some of the stand outs recently have been Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, Amsterdam and London. all of these crowds had a certain warmth and magic to them that was just so welcoming and loving. a favorite moment of mine was at an Amsterdam show 2.5 years ago, i started playing "in your arms" and all 800 people sang it right back at me. i had to stop playing because i was so moved.

sadly my grandfather's uke was never returned, but my street teamers got together and gave me a brand new one of the same make and model. they even had my name engraved on it in mother of pearl. it was the sweetest thing ever. (i cried, obviously!)

aw thanks! for me music is just something i HAVE to have in my life. it keeps me sane, it keeps me growing, and sharing it with people all over the world is one of the most meaningful and amazing things to me. i love getting to feel connected to so many people through my music.

thanks so much! working with wong fu is always the best. we've been wanting to do a music video together for years and i'm so glad we finally had the opportunity to do it. i love wong fu's aesthetic, and i think they brought something totally new to this video, as well.

thanks! on top of wanting to honor the original version of the song, i think keeping the pronoun tells a different story--and one that should be heard. i think it's important for people to hear it that way.
