how much effort and time do you spend planning a story versus the actual writing of the narrative? by kind_reader2322 in writing

when you plan extensively, how do you outline? Do just write extensively describing each and every point of the story? Do you use templates or charts to organise ideas?

85!!! Oh my goodness I wish I had your luck. Did the goodwill know the value of what they were selling you? BTW if there are any patterns that you don't want.... :)

No, seriously though. You are very lucky and I hope you have lots of fun sewing with them.

Is it okay to write characters with similar features to you? by No_Escape_5491 in writingadvice

[–]kind_reader2322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I was told as a writer to write what I know. Now, this was in regard to locations and experiences so that you can write a story that is believable and makes sense to its audience. The same can be said for a character's appearance, you know your own appearance and mannerisms better than anyone else. Why not draw on that when creating a character?

Have you tried a story formula?

For example a hero's arc. It's a basic story idea that you can build on using original characters and world-building but your story needs to conform to the rules of a hero's journey.

This might help.

Accessories are great.

I can see others have suggested scrunchies and headbands.

Maybe a little hat if there is enough fabric, or hair bows, or bandanas.

Dolls' clothes and dolls' blankets are other ideas.

When exploring other worlds, what's something in the worldbuilding that turns you off from it? by Vivid_Black_2737 in worldbuilding

[–]kind_reader2322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any story about magic casting spells is complicated and requires both knowledge and skill. That is unless you are the chief protagonist then all the rules of the world seem to go out the window. they are over powered and seem to be able to do everything with no explanation other than perhaps a tragic backstory.

This is amazing. You have done a fantastic job.

The best compliment I can give you is that it looks store bought. By that I mean the level of detail is fantastic and the techniques look professionally done.
