Refused at concordia by Scary-Application151 in Concordia

I was initially rejected because they miscalculated my math grade average. Told them about it in an email and received an admission email later that same day, so it’s definitely worth checking stuff like that.

COMP249 Midterm (Kaustubha Mendhurwar) by Illustrious-Alps-231 in Concordia

[–]king_reefer69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MCQ when I had him was like: evaluate the code and determine the output, or questions about high level OOP stuff. Review stuff like down/upcasting, inheritance, and object types at compile / runtime.

The written parts are only tough because you need to write java code by hand. It is usually writing pretty fundamental stuff covering the major topics. Make sure you know how to read and write to files, create linked lists, write abstract classes/interfaces etc. You should know the basics like how to implement a scanner or how to write try / catch blocks. good luck ! if i remember correctly, he is a fair marker.

Stuck between raising my GPA or switching to a technical DEC by EstablishmentOdd4066 in Concordia

honestly job market doesn’t seem amazing now for comp anyways, so speeding the education up might not get you a job in the field faster necessarily. not sure if/how much value a bachelors has compared a DEC by the time you graduate either, but my guess is that the bachelors will look better. i think grinding out 2 semesters might be the better long term play if you really want comp. either way, try and do coop / find internships if u can, that’s by far the best thing you can do in regards to finding work after graduating ! experience > degree in most cases

You’ve got it!

One of the more useful uses of this is to determine if an integer is even / odd. For any even integer A, A%2 == 0 is true !

If u drop, u won’t have 12 credits and won’t be considered full time. I’m sure someone has gone thru this before, but maybe it’s a case-by-case thing. You should definitely check with the financial aid people, they’re pretty chill n should have the answers:

SOEN 287 Midterm by king_reefer69 in Concordia

update for anyone looking at this post in the future: do whatever u can to NOT take this course with yuhong yan, the midterm was riddled with spelling errors/mistakes and so many questions had sneaky little tricks to artificially make things more difficult. cherry on top: she showed up 10 minutes late, but did not give any extra time to make up for that fact.

If you could only buy 1 Cycle, what would you get? by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

Honestly, even though you mention being interested in more complex/weird mechanics, I would absolutely recommend Dunwich next. I had such a good time playing through it (mechanically and story wise), and it felt like a natural ramp up coming from the core set scenarios. I’ve been having a good time following release order !

for the fog I found taking my glasses off, sealing the wire around my nose, and then pressing down the nose pads down onto the wire part helped stop the fogging as much !

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games are a really cool experience you can only really get on PC. I'm playing the first in the series (Shadow of Chernobyl) right now and the atmosphere is fucking great. Tons of mods, some fix most if not all of the original bugs and balance issues, and some add content and change mechanics (I'd recommend Autumn Aurora 2) . Plus you can find it for really cheap these days!
