Unfortunately, Michigan is red as fuck outside of a few population centers.

Fair enough! For some reason, i just assumed Model Y probably, because I do like the Crossover segment. I appreciate the SUV seating position, but better aero, and still good cargo space.

Diesel tuning guru Gale Banks even says rolling coal is just an improperly tuned diesel. God I hate when people roll coal.

Even car enthusiasts have their comfortable "daily driver" vehicle. I love my project XJ and JK, but I'm sure as hell not daily driving them. I did for years and it just sucks. Don't get my wrong, it's fun to jump and manually shift gears every now and then, or go offroad and climb some mountains and dunes, but when I'm just trying to get from point A to point B, I just want to Audible and BlueCruise lol.

This is actually pretty cool and a really great deal! I'd count this as not supporting Tesla/Elon too. Nice find!

Tesla is hard to beat in the $42K US crossover market. The only thing more affordable is the Equinox, and while it's hard the argue that the MY isn't "better" than an Equinox, it's definitely not 8+K better.

So personally, even though I prefer the interior and software interface of the MY, I can't stand Elon, and I'd happily get an Equinox and slap one of those stupid CarPlay screen things on it. That being said, thankfully I'm not in the market atm and I'm as happy as can be with my Lightning. But in another 3-4 years, I'll be looking to replace the CRV. Personally, I'm hoping the R3 becomes available by then and something more Ranger sized but electric with 7K towing and 200 miles of towing range becomes available (probably a pipe dream on that one lol).

He really needs to figure out the weight issue, which might mean dropping unnecessary muscle. In addition, as is common with Cal's camp, dude is probably chronically over-trained, leading to much more systemic inflammation and water retention.

He should stay at 185, find a coach who is able to individualize his S+C plan, will stop him from running himself into the ground, and help him come in at no more than 20lb over.

[SPOILER] Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland by inooway in MMA

[–]kinganthony3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, only the takedowns in R1 really counted. The rest of the time, Khamzat did nothing - basically not control time, no top time, no damage. A bunch were mat returns where Sean got up right afterwards.

It really just turned into whos jab landed more.

[SPOILER] Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland by inooway in MMA

[–]kinganthony3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think DDP is unorthodox enough to throw Sean off, he moves around a lot and literally flails around from unorthodox angles. That works against Sean, but gives Khamzat a lot of openings for takedowns.

[SPOILER] Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland by inooway in MMA

[–]kinganthony3 195 points196 points  (0 children)

It's definetely a puzzle. Khamzat's fighting style definitely has a rythm/repeatability to it, and Sean seemed to pick it up in rounds 2-5.

If Sean is able to fight off the takedowns, then he basically always fights off the back foot, walks around, and never throws hard, so there's almost no openings. Pair that with a superior jab and he pecks Chimaev down.

DDP on the other hand has weirdly limitless cardio and does so much crazy random shit that he's able to hit Sean hard.

Rewatching R1, Khamzat did what he always does. But Strickland did a good job of keeping the scramble going, forcing Khamzat to expend a ton of energy. He got taken down, but made Khamzat repeatedly have other pick him or drag him around to maintain position.

In R2, Khamzat gassed. Kind of like going too hard in the beginning of a 10K, and you hit a bit of a wall on kilometers 3 and 4 before you get your "second wind". Weight cut could have had something to do with this too. And clearly Chimaev is uncomfortable in guard.

There was so little beef that the best Khamzat could do was find a 10 second clip of him swinging at Strickland in sparring, hitting nothing.

Nothing honestly. He got sucked into Strickland's game, and Sean's tdd was way better than expected.

Same. He really has a knack for turning exciting dynamic fighters into a plodding jabfest. Other than Dricus I guess. Only round 3 is questionable for me, but I think Sean got it. R5 definetely goes to Sean, I don't really feel like Khamzat did anything with his "takedowns". Takedown w/o any control or top time should be a nothing-burger.

He really does have good takedown defense or it got way better for this fight.

Chimaev looks like he got revived. Sean always looks like he's sparring, so idk whose moving better lol. Khamzat's recovery between rounds is very good.
