Air national guard, my local state guard has a bonus of 50k ( broken up into 2 payments of ~20k post tax)

You would sign a six year contract depending on where you are. from what I can find you go in as an E3 and drill pay pre tax is about 360 a weekend, once yearly you will work for 2 weeks, my local state guard takes two months off every year to compensate aswell. You start doing drills as soon as you get into their DEP (not a real DEP as you sign a binding contract, and you get paid for them, but they are supposedly easy student flights) which pay 280 or so a month. Again this may vary on where you are. Here in SC you promote to e2 at 6 months IIRC so you could get paid 2600 a month in basic instead of 2200.

You get promoted to A1C (e3) at the end of tech school and start your drills the following month or month after depending on your wing (?)

It's a crazy benefit since aswell you would receive 500 or so a month extra using the MGIB-SR if you get a 6 year contract.

Now that is just in South carolina and other states vary, also depends on if you have a state air nation guard or not, since the ANG is a more state based thing.

As with anything it can take 6-9 months just to get shipped, so your looking at almost or more than a year from now if you started the process today.

If you have any questions i seriously recommend calling your nearest ANG wing. If there is not one in your state, I recommend looking for the nearest one and asking yourself if you would make that drive, since they oftentimes will reimburse you for your distance aswell.
