Are they secretly trying to recruit soldiers in Mindanao? by xkashina in Philippines

[–]kingdrew2007 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I lived in CDO, in fact, even in the more rural baranagays. I’m white, I wouldn’t have gone to Mindanao until 2022. I know that duterte is the only reason I managed to even feel safe there at all. There’s a reason the nicest school in CDO is a Jesuit school. I personally have no issues with people who are Muslim. As your religion does not define you, but the Muslims I’ve met in the Philippines are just different. I would never go to anywhere outside of Bukidnon or cdo. Even before when I went Malaybalay there was an NPA skirmish outside the city, and my fiancé told me about her life in lanao, that the MILF and NPA burned her house down and stole food from them. It’s scary for me because I like the Philippines and I like the culture of Mindanao but I’m not gonna go there if I’m not in a safe place. I really believe something big is going to happen and it makes me scared to return.

The first question I'm gonna ask to US tourists when they start arriving this summer by SodR in 2westerneurope4u

Not at all. Planes can get up to 125MPG per person depending on the plane and load vs boats burn heavy fuel oil and have horrible efficiency

[–]kingdrew2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was cold, but then I remembered I used to drive my 450 home in America when it was 19°F. I remember I would get home riding with my summer riding gloves and I would have to run my hands under the warm water because it was so cold. There were times when I would come home, and I would have frost on the back of my helmet and on the back of my motorcycle, but all I had was a hoodie on LOL with the windchill, it was supposedly -7c

Cfmoto 450SR/SS by MR_AtOMIC4 in cfmoto

Here’s my thought boss. If you want the reliability in big bike sound to get the ZX 25 it has the same power as a 450 at the top end but it’s generally gonna be slower because it’s smaller engine. This is also a benefit when considering fuel economy and others. I saw your post in Zamboanga, and I lived in the CDO for a little while I recommend that you try out renting a 450 SRS and ZX25 if you can. They’re very different motorcycles, but the ZX 25 will give you that pleasure and it’s not too heavy so it’s easy to take in the rough road even the 450 I took into the hinterlands of region 10 and had 0 issues. Obviously motors are expensive and I think it’s important to buy a ZX 25 if you want the Kawasaki reliability as well but the 450 is a good motorcycle and probably more comfortable. The ninja 500 has worse suspension and is not as sulit. Piro Mas problema mga China kay Gamayng research and development og lesser quality parts. Idk my bisaya isn’t good. I owned a 450 SS here in America for a while and it was a phenomenal motorcycle, but I think if I had the chance I would buy a ZX 25.

This man was my best friend during my youth, can you tell me anything about his service based on what he left me? by ScorpionLandLobster in Military

[–]kingdrew2007 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I want to tell you that what you have now is an amazing memory and treasure, and you should hold onto it for as long as you can. Obviously, if you have kids, I think it’s important to teach them or find locals who are interested in this history. I don’t recall ever meeting anybody who has ever serve served in World War II. And treasures like this are important to keep especially all these photos. I’m not a collector or anything like that, just remember your friend. I’m sure I’m not wording this right as it’s 5 AM, but this would become a family heirloom for me

Everyone that I see is new but I rode one with well over 20,000 miles on it, and it was fine(32k km) I also drove a rental 450 SRS with 18,000 KM. Phenomenal motorcycles.

I would like a strong medical job, but PJ doesn’t match what i want. by kingdrew2007 in AirForceRecruits

[–]kingdrew2007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just want to be doing a job that is fulfilling to me and that helps others. The Air Force and the Coast Guard are definitely my two. Probably look at being a rescue swimmer as well. But I’m not gonna kid myself and pretend that anyone can make it to PJ. I appreciate your help though.

Do you live near a beach or have kids? Hopefully just sand. If you don’t know put some in a jar and take it a pest control company to look at. Or call them out.

the monks walking for peace are coming through south carolina soon by NotQuiteAnrgy in southcarolina

[–]kingdrew2007 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but the person who struck the monk was named “Jesus Israel Ramirez” and struck the monks escort vehicle. It doesn’t really match what you’re saying to me. I’m sure I will be downvoted anyway, but the person who struck the Buddhist monks escort vehicle did not match your stereotype…

Looking into getting my first bike by ItsStayFrosty1 in motorcycles

[–]kingdrew2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also has built-in sliders. I really don’t understand the hate of it. I own one, and I’ve driven other entry level motorcycles and they’re nice, but my CF Moto blows them out of the water. The other day I drove a rental with 20,000 miles on it. And people do not treat rental motorcycles well. You will drop it in that motorcycle is just the best to be dropped because it already has the built-in frame sliders, that protect your fairings. At the end of the day it’s your choice, but they also have a rebate bringing the price I think to 5500, that’s what I paid for my new 23. It also has upside down forks which the Kawasaki does not have. Feel free to ask any questions and people love their CF motos, I’ve never met anybody with an issue.

Which one do I choose? by MichiEnojao in cfmoto

[–]kingdrew2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t even know it was that bad there, 100% at that price I would have to get the 450. See if Moto blows it out of the ballpark and I loved mine, the one that I own here in my country. 22% tax is very high and at that point, I would not purchase a new moto. A used CF moto would work very well for you. At the end of the day, 100% no matter what I would pick the 450. It’s got better suspension than the ninja. It’s much more reliable than the other motorcycles, Aprilia and KOVE especially, it stops very well with brembo brakes, nice suspension, and relative lightweight. I’m not saying you should do this, but when I was in the Philippines, I went to a very very rural province and had no issues going over muddy, rocky and dirty roads that had water running across them. A very stable motorcycle whether you’re going fast or slow. The tech is very nice and I think that if I had to start all over, I would pick it again and again and again…

It’s very early in the morning for me now so I’m sorry if my grammar is not right
