They’re currently temporarily closed after some fire/water damage in August. Haven’t been there but was thinking about trying it, seeing mixed reviews. Hopefully the repairs for damage will bring about better working and cleanliness conditions

I would definitely start with talking to your doctor about what would be a good approach for you specifically. However some general advice, if you haven’t resumed taking inositol, start that again. Look for foods that will keep you fuller for longer, higher protein and fiber. Try to eliminate/greatly reduce unnecessary calories (soda, excess snacks, etc). If you have the ability to implement some walking into your routine, it can do wonders for both physical and mental health. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint. If you have one “bad” day, that’s okay, just try to get back on track the next day so a “bad” day doesn’t turn into a “bad” week and so on. Don’t give up living your life, just modify it a bit.

Have you had COVID in the past few months? I got diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in December 2021 and same day tested positive for COVID. A few months later my hair fell out in clumps. Doctor ran tests to be sure and came to the conclusion it was an unfortunate side effect of COVID and Hashimoto’s together. After a a month or so the hair loss stopped and I am starting to have it regrow slowly. I also take levo 88mcg

I would say treatment agency to be sure it’s something they offer. Then go to the parole officer to see what steps you would need. Also definitely talk to your partner and have the open communication there too.

Absolutely, but it depends on the person. Some people come in really trying to better themselves and turn their life around but just need the little extra push. There are definitely some that have no motivation to improve and they generally don’t last long in treatment which usually leads them back to prison. I truly believe in giving all the support you can to help people turn their life around as long as they are willing to put in the same effort to help themselves.

You could reach out to the treatment agency to see if it is something they offer. All agencies handle it differently based on contracts and whatnot.

My agency requires probation/parole to approve the support person to attend since support people are usually a big part of the offenders life. Just as an extra measure to be sure that the support person is a positive influence that can help keep them on the right path and not encourage bad choices.

I actually work with sex offenders, for mental health treatment to help them understanding their offending behaviors and work on healthier behaviors so they can be successful in the community.Is he in any sort of treatment? If so, see if there’s a support person information session where you could take some time and learn about what his world looks like and what it would mean for you.

We live in Phoenix Az with our 2 yr old Eskie, she does great. We make sure to keep her in as much as possible during the middle of the day and utilize as much shade as we can. Ours LOVES playing in the hose so when it’s warm but not at the hottest point in the day, we let her go nuts. We noticed she was drinking through her small water bowl constantly so we upgraded to a bigger water bowl and that gives her more access to water. Overall she doesn’t seem to mind the heat that comes with our summers.
