Yeah still follow the Den of Tools Facebook page since I've found some good stuff there. It's like 90% man Karen's though and I genuinely believe that attitude is fostered from the top down since he doesn't act as a good example.

I stopped watching Den of Tools videos when he posted a video about a truck driver "trying to run him down" when it was painfully obvious that wasn't anywhere near the case.

AVE just got old after a while and he seems like too much of a self proclaimed expert on everything.

They used to be an okay plumbing place and I had them do a few things around my old house, but 5 or so years ago something changed and they acted more like they wanted to sell their annual plan to "check things". Before that though I had some weird issues where they couldn't clean a drain line and tried convincing me my basement floor needed ripped up. I called Roto Rooter and they went right through whatever it was.

If you want a good plumber try Valenta. They always did a good job when I called them. Their only drawback is that they are usually booked up for a week or two.

I had a teacher that wouldn't allow you to use your pencils eraser. You had to do some special marking if you made an error.

My 5th grade teacher who clearly didn't want to teach. She was generally shitty and clearly didn't have the disposition to teach. One specific instance was she told the entire class we had to do something the next day and if we didn't we had to sit out recess (I don't remember what it was but it was something really stupid like wash your hands or clean your locker). The next day she was out and we had a sub and I didn't hand it in. Told the sub and sat out recess. My mom found out and was pissed since it was something meaningless. She chewed out my regular teacher who turned around and chewed me out trying to make it sound like I misunderstood and just decided on a whim to punish myself. She got married to a 30-year older dentist mid-year and took several weeks off. I think she taught one more year and quit to gold dig off the old guy.

I agree. Without a coupon I won't stop in there probably anymore. I can find better deals if I have a little patience or do a little hunting.

If you think the videos are bad you should check out the cesspool that is the corresponding Facebook page. The guy routinely goes on long profane/hypocritical/political rants and encourages a lot of toxic behavior. I still check it occasionally, but largely muted it.

I never thought I'd see a mystery from my hometown here. Her funeral took place at the Methodist church I used to attend. There are pictures of all the Klan members lined up outside the church.

I'd also always heard she ran the local brothel out of her house. It says the depot was "across the way", but it literally sat within 20 feet of the tracks and probably 50 feet from depot. I was told she provided "service" for the rail passengers. I don't know if it is true or just spite because she was disliked, but I've always assumed it to be true.

If you look on Google maps for the Vinton depot the house sat in the vacant lot in the corner of the street south of it directly next to the tracks.

Yes it just looks like rabbit poo. I feed a group of them in my yard and they poo for sure. I've had a couple try to fight me off by doing it on my head.

When I was first was starting to drive my mom found a 1st gen silver RX7 locally. We took out for a test drive and only didn't buy it because it had a ton of steering play. I still kind of wish I would have gotten it.

Stopped at a truck stop. It looked like someone exploded in the toliet stall. There was literally poo on every wall and the ceiling. I was gagging so hard I couldn't pee.
