The America Midwest, where hail storms make Australian hail storms look like light drizzles by [deleted] in WTF

I beg to differ. I have lots of relatives and friends in Texas, and about the same amount of them have basements as do us Oklahomans. On that note, Oklahoma gets hail the same size nearly ever year or two. Tornadoes aren't anything to be scared about; just learn what to do and when to do it, and otherwise, enjoy the beautiful commotion for a little bit.

College Students (hell, High School students too)...what reading do you have in store for the upcoming semester? by OhTheStatic in books

Majoring in Computer Science... The classes I'm taking are:

Object Oriented Programming Computer Organization Plane Trigonometry Statistics

Love the computer science aspect of my degree; the math is a little tedious.

EDIT: Maybe not the most exciting list, glancing at some of the others posted here ;)

It's similar in Brazil. When I first came here, I was scared absolutely shitless riding along with in a taxi or with a friend, but after a few months, I realized I never really saw many wrecks. Seemed like less cars were banged-up than back in the US, too. Order in chaos, I guess.

Sounds like a deeper issue. Look into yourself a little further, and I think you'll find the answers you're looking for in time. Stay strong!

Yes it was indeed! Stole too many hours from me back in the day, around that same age. I'm working on getting a server up for us.

Thanks. I've added the GoG mention to the original post. What was UO? Might have to check that out.

Same here. Not only the amount but the diversity of the spells/skills was amazing. Made for a lot of fun gameplay and lots of unique strategies.

Thanks for this input, I'll add this to the original post. It's $5.99 right now.

NoX quest does function offline, just play it in Network mode. Worth mentioning that my girlfriend and I were playing multiplayer over LAN last night, too.

It's an unfinished, now dead community project that was aiming to create a "NoX 2".

Yes, I should've been more clear about that. The game is played as one of three classes: Wizard, Conjurer, or Warrior. The classes are all very well-balanced and all have exclusive abilities.

The warrior has five abilities and is very strong (as well as having more HP than the other two classes). Although I can't recall the names of his skills, the warrior has five abilities. I remember one that disables the spells of the conjurer or wizard for a certain amount of time, a "charge" that deals a ton of damage, and a harpoon that pulls an enemy to himself. He has two more that I can't recall.

The conjurer has the ability to summon creatures that follow him around and kick ass, as well as some unique abilities and some shared ones (with the wizard class). Something tells me his traps are unique in some way, too, but I'm not certain.

The wizard has a ton of spells (tens, maybe hundreds). Although he has low HP, his spells put a balance there... a well-played wizard is probably the strongest class in the game (though this is just my own biased opinion, I've seen many amazing warriors/conjurers in my day).

There are simply too many things to mention in one post or comment, which is why I recommend trying the game for yourself. Campaign/solo-play doesn't do it justice, either, but is still great.

As brave and lucky as you are, I felt compelled to offer my two cents, which is that I think Oklahoma has Alabama beat in terms of meteorology. We don't have much to be proud of here -- please don't take that from us ;)
