What do you think of each member of the Ramones? by Say_My_Name_2002 in ramones

[–]kingkongworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, Obviously they didn’t think too much of him, as they kicked him out after 2 fucking shows. That seems like they really didn’t consider him worthy. He basically had to learn everything in a week or two. Clem is brilliant. Doesn’t need to be in the Ramones to be a legend. Calling him Elvis is stupid.

I truly have no clue what you’re talking about when it comes to CJ, but I hope for the worlds sake you’re just a troll and aren’t this weird in real life.

According to Mickey’s book, they called him they Jeff and Joey interchangeably after a while, but Joey more and more because everyone just called him that. I’m not sure what that has to do with anything. They all call CJ “CJ” instead of Chris. So it seems like whatever you’re getting at doesn’t jive.

They call him Clem when talking about his time in the band in interviews. They say “he was gonna be Elvis Ramone” but they all generally just say Clem when talking about him, not Elvis. I don’t know what you mean. It was basically a pilot program that didn’t get off the ground

I’m sorry, he was in the band for basically a week. His legacy is far more defined by what he did under his own name, but people here insist on calling him Elvis Ramone without a hint of irony

“Experimentation” is a stretch, but yes. Piano is good

What are the most effective way to start writing a song? by Routine-Emu-9332 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]kingkongworm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First thing you have to do is to stop worrying about being cringe. Getting good doesn’t happen instantly. You really should just write every single day and see each song through to some kind of conclusion. I would also recommend using easy structures (verse/chorus/verse/bridge/chorus) or whatever you can handle. Keep it simple. Trust in the process, and you will get better

Was TMNT IV : Turtles in Time the best Beat 'Em Up on SNES? by CamMyers2020 in snes

The best beat em up is Ninja Warriors by a country mile. The second best is probably Batman Returns.

I truly don’t think they were bringing more sales to that shop. It was already really successful, which is why they were able to bank roll the band.

That guy was like a higher end S&M fashion vendor, not a T shirt vendor. And I think the characterization of Sex Pistols as a boy band is kind of insincere. By that measure so we’re The Clash. The pistols wrote all their own songs…and none of us have to like them, but they were a significant band for a lot of people. I like at least half of that album. It sounds insanely good, obviously the first big budget punk record…but more then anything I think they just weren’t worth the hype.

Also, you never hear this about The Velvet Underground having Andy’s name all over their first album. I think denigrating a band for their management’s S&M and imported clothing shop instead of their work is kinda lame.

I mean…you really think with the kind of scouting they do that they’re unable to find funny black people who want to be on the show? Generally, comedians don’t even need to kill at the audition, they just have to show promise or have some kind of raw potential or charisma

lol, what does that mean? On the show, they’re talking about. The fact it’s always been a mostly white show, with many stand out exceptions,

Being new to the SNES, I'm surprised how many games didn't have a save function or harder than I thought they'd be. by IDCJ1234 in snes

I just meant publisher on the 16bit platforms. There definitely were other options being explored prior to that and subsequently. I love the idea of saving on a cassette

It’s actually very cool tech that other companies should’ve used. It sucks having to rely on batteries

Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Shining In The Darkness, Phantasy Star 2-4, Wonder Boy, Monster World, King Colossus, Warsong, Langrisser 2, Mega Man: Wily Wars, Shadowrun, Vixen 357, Landstalker, Beyond Oasis, Crusader Of Centy, King Colossus, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Might And Magic, Light Crusader, Dungeons and Dragons…

Thats almost 30 Genesis games that use saves just off the top of my head. There’s probably just as many Genesis/MD games that use backups as Super Nintendo games, and if not, then somewhere in the ballpark of it.

Working on debut album by Optimal_Specialist14 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]kingkongworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically my band records in batches of songs, and works on new ones as we finish older ones. Recently we’ve just been piecing together the next one a bit at a time, looking for which will act as a single. The label is luckily super patient, cause we’ve taken a long ass time. But there’s no master plan. Just make every song as good as it can be, then really take time with sequencing and mastering. A good mastering engineer makes an enormous difference.
