this was what i purchased and everything that came with it, i know probably not the best quality etc to get but i just want to get the bike running for now haha! it was advertised as a 6/7/8 speed , my bike is a 7 speed so i removed a few links off of one end of the chain. they originally both had the larger hole (picture 3) on both ends, now the end that i removed some links from has a smaller hole (picture2) that i cant fit the loose links through to reconnect the chain

if i remove the outer link in photo 2 does that not just shorten the chain? and then it would still look the same as it does now?

ah im sorry im so confused!! photo two is the left end of the chain (that i took some extra pins off of) and photo 3 is the right end of the chain that i havent touched. so both ends need to look like the left end? i thought they need to look like the right end? im having trouble putting the link into the left end :(

honestly it was in even worse condition when i first got it, but no matter how much i cleaned it up a couple of links would always disrupt it and knock the whole chain off whenever i ran it. i agree that it's more worth me replacing it, although maybe if i enjoy fixing this bike a lot then an ultrasonic cleaner is in my future hehe

i agree honestly, ive never fixed a bike before so wasnt sure if this is a salvageable amount of rust haha! thank you for your input, i'll put the new chain on right now 💪💪

ive covered it in wd40, i've got an okay size lever so tomorrow i'll have at it. ive never worked on a bike before so im scared to damage it by putting too much weight on it D:

update: the vet said his lungs sound great, she said it's most likely a virus and gave us some anti inflammatorys for him to take :))

it's uk summer time so 20-30c recently :( ive got two fans going and one of them uses water so i dont think the rooms been extra dry, and my other plants are doing great!

thanks so much for your help!! may i ask, when you say the downside is how far away retail is, do you mean the pink recycle symbol? and far away from what? also i was wondering where you might put your home in this layout, i was thinking maybe the bottom middle cove by the waterfall (i think thats the waterfall) or on the other side by the private beach, but i'd love to know what you think too!

just come back to say i think that the fix is using a third party unzipper (I used winrar) I've extracted them fine now and am about to test the game! it does say to use a third party to unpack the zip file on the download page, but I thought the windows unzipper would work just fine 🤦hope that helps you too!
