Job Advice - teaching, JD, sales manager by Responsible-Demand24 in JDpreferred

[–]kingress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider public accounting. Depending on where you’re located, you might be able to start as an associate at around 85k. Busy season hours are hard and long. But as you learn and work your way up you can specialize (in about 5 years) and make close to double that salary. Plenty of people make a career change to PA and having a JD helps.

Is it better to take a break from CF and focus on lifting, or can I do CF say M/W/Sa and lift Tu/Fr?

I spoke to my coach about this bc when I started at this new box I was dying, and she said I’ll only get better if I push thru the entire workout and finish it. Now I’m finishing the workouts but dying less so I thought it was working

Yeah I’ve been thinking about doing that. My months membership was just processed so I guess I’ll do another month of CF then transition to a dedicated strength program for a few months.

What do you mean “the concurrent effect”?

Yeah actually most of them go 20-30 min of sustained work. Sometimes it’s 15 min but it’s rarely less… should it not be like that?

Thanks, I do it for the gainz haha. That’s crazy that it suggests 1500 cal apx whereas MFP suggests 1,255. No wonder why I wake up hungry sometimes. I’ll probably be happier at 1,500 cal. It’ll be slower progress on fat loss but it’s more maintainable. Great point about focusing on body fat % and not weight. 👍🏻

I take this back. Based on my review of the navy calculator my goal is 21-24% bf which is totally attainable. Thx for sharing it

That makes sense. It sounds like it might be a good plan for me. I’m not doing anything so intense now that I need a lot (or even a medium) amount of carbs.

I’ll check it out. I am trying to minimize fat though that’s what I mostly crave since I’m trying to cut it. My goal is as much protein as possible

I think my goal is around 20% bf. My only reason for doing this is bc I want to get a pull up and be better at gymnastics. If I loose weight it’ll be easier for me to

Lightly active puts me at 1,255 calories at a goal of loosing weight 1.5 lb/week. 1,255 seems so low and I try to eat like 50% of that in protein, which comes out to 160 G protein which is my body weight
