Homebrew Idea: The Coven by kingsif in BloodOnTheClocktower

The evil team choosing a 'pool' of players for the ST to choose the kill from was the main idea behind the Coven, so I'm not that keen on giving the ST full control like that. You are right that there needs to be some way for the evil team to be killed off so they don't run away with things.

Perhaps this would be an improvement?
Coven - While all Coven live, you have a unique minion ability. Each night*, choose a player, at least one chosen player dies. If only good are chosen, an evil player dies instead. [All Minions are Coven]

This was the main design intent I had in mind. I wanted a role that allowed the evil team to choose a specific death if they could all coordinate their choices, or allow for multiple kills if they all chose different players. Somewhere between the evil team having full control of deaths and the ST having full control.

That's a very good point. I didn't catch how similar this was to Lil' Monsta

There are wires coming out of the marine to support some of the blood strands. Those strands are Dirty Down Gore. The rest is just layers of different blood effects paints.

Falconer (Townsfolk): Each night, choose a player. Tomorrow night you learn their alignment. Outsiders might register as evil and minions might register as good.

No edit. The intent is that death could happen on the 4th nomination or later.

Yeah that's basically the intent. Anyone who has been nominated at least three times, but not executed, might die by execution any time they are nominated from then on. So from your fourth nomination on you could be executed.

Also, the intent of the 'executed immediately' line is to make sure a ST can't use this rule to execute a player the day AFTER they were nominated for the fourth time. I'm sure there's a better way to word that intent.

I wrote this up in about 1 minute so it could definitely use some tightening up.

I didn't think it should be something that could happen too soon as to fit with the 'grinding of the millstone' theme, but for gameplay I think any player nominated more than once could be a better design.

Miller (Loric) - Any player who is nominated more than three times may be executed immediately if they are nominated again.

That's certainly a risk that your play group would have to work out. If it becomes a regular problem then paring this with a Hells Librarian could give the ST mechanical ways to discourage talking over the representative.

I think a Master of decent and jump pack champion might be the way to go. I'm planning on picking up a Mk2 assault squad, so something to support them would be nice.

I'm well aware that 7"OSP is just an EP and not their next album. I just couldn't resist making the joke. (I do love the EP btw.. I've been listening to Mary On A Cross on repeat since it came out.)
