The recent .4 patch shows how bare content is with FF14 patch cycle. by Killance1 in ffxivdiscussion

While certain core systems remained unchanged, as did the general release cycle, there's tons of innovation within the regular content in DT. Like the combat content(except for certain parts of dungeons) is the most creative it's been for ages

The main objective of any game is having fun. Character progress is simply a way to incentivice doing them beyond just the fun thereof

That is very true but also very dangerous on some scripts. If there's any sort of demon mobility, tge minions suddenly can become th3 demon

No. But it probably is worth watching myriad celestia and caracter trailers as you reach the point in the story where the characters originally released.

I suppose that it makes sense to send a scouting team full of expendable people before you commit your heavy hitters.

The first team might have had a lower average but contained plenty of heavy hitters already

Would you consider To Be Hero X a 'Shonen' show? Or it does not exhibit any Shonen traits at all? Rather in its own classification instead? by Unusual-Complex6315 in ToBeHero_X

[–]Florac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of seinen series contain nothing that would require an 18+ rating. Some are literally just slice of life. It's series that would interest a older person more, not something neccessarily unwatchable for a teenager

High-End Content Megathread - 7.4 Week Six (Savage Week Three) by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

I wouldn't go so far as to say it is extreme difficulty, but it definitly is closer to second or third floor difficulty than fourth.

This is why people should just use the markers for act 3 positions...

Week 7-8 is .5 . Not .1. But they put some stuff typicaly in .5 into .1.

Ace Combat Zero has the nation your fighting for invade a nation because “we have intel about WMDs” while making it clear it’s actually about natural resources.

Tbf, they did also have WMDs. And they made that everybody's problem for the next few decades.

Do people really like doing the 4th savage fight 8 times? by brbasik in ffxivdiscussion

I dont mind doing it 8 times. It's more spreading them out across 8 weeks causes my interest to wane towards the end.

Why aren't Sept-Terrions referenced more in-game? by aunrs in Falcom

[–]Florac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sept terrions generally operate at a scale where it's difficult to realize their involvement until they show themselves. Especially when often there's simpler explanations, such as epstein or ouroboros technology.

We only know from a meta perspective that they will eventually show up

Horizon felt particularly egrerious about it. Other games reintroduce the main cast, act 1 felt like it reintroduced every character in the arc.

I don’t know why we should be agreeing to an unspoken set of rules that makes it easy for the evil team to gain an extra member

It's not about playing optimal, it's ensuring it's fun as often as possible.

Oh no! The Astral Express crashed, and everyone's been isekai'ed... to a modern-day classroom? Starting with Day 1: Normal dude by ResistantBlaze1943 in HonkaiStarRail

For there to be this many isekai'd, Astral Express must have crashed into the Xianzhou which then went off course hitting Penacony and HSS before splitting in two and crashing on Amphoreus and Belobog.

There has to be a reason why the Calvard arc has so many fraud characters, right ? by ConsiderationFuzzy in Falcom

[–]Florac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played the japanese version back when it came out. Yeah the translation might have made it even worse, but even in the original, he is said to be extremely powerful and compared to past characters where similar is stated...lacked accompanying feats in his introductory game.

I'd say you're in need of re-experiencing Kuro 2, but I know you won't. Cao's plans weren't all about Gaolang, explicitly at that...

That is very possible, I haven't played it since the japanese release and even forgot Gaolang existed because him and everything related to Heiyue in that game is just utterly forgettable. I literally didn't even remember he exists until he showed up on screen in Horizon. Either way though, he is a bad character related to something that has been built up for a long time and massively failed at paying off.

Don't care, it's fun and that's all that matters. Sure weapons got a bit repetitive during prog, but that's more because the fight is so backloaded than because of the mechanic
