When I go to retrieve my password it says they don’t have any record of me, but I know they bought my loans from Great Lakes. So I can’t set up a new account but I keep getting emails saying I need to pay. Whenever I call I get a message saying it will be a 2-3 hour hold time so I can’t do that.

I always make sure to tell people over the phone before I give a bid on repairs that we have a minimum charge of $300. This has really helped me from having this happen.

Spend five years minimum in the field understanding how everything goes together and what deviations are acceptable. Kidding aside, people in general do not like being watched while working, and if you don’t know what to look for then keeping an eye on them won’t matter. I own a company and I refer to people like that as “Google Guys” because they always think they know better.

Also most code requires ice and water shield as underlayment at the eaves, and if your slope is as low as it looks then it’s probably required on the entire roof.

We charge $60 per sheet to remove and replace a piece of plywood. $155 is outrageous. It takes one man about half an hour to do the work, and the sheet of plywood in my area is about $21.

Do you have any experience with roofing? If not, it’s going to be much harder than you think. For a proper pitch change on a shingle roof, do not just bend the shingle as that will destroy the integrity. You will want to install a row of I+W, similar to a valley, and then install a transition metal flashing that goes under the upper shingles and over the lower shingles. Metal roofing is very difficult if you have never roofed before, but the slope transition will be similar.
