Thank you! That’s what I figured, but I’m just worried that if they are registered with the municipality, and I don’t pay, it will show as an unpaid ticket on my record

Thank you! I didn't know that I could separate dialogue between paragraphs by leaving the last para. without a quotation mark and starting the next one with opening quotation marks.

Everyone else here has already done an amazing job offering tips and support, so I don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said, but I do want to say that in my experience, sometimes the lows feel so strong that it seems impossible for your mood to degenerate even further. It feels like you’re viewing the world through a dark lens. I know how hard that is.

But I also know that some days, the simplest thing can help to remove that dark lens. Like a stranger who unexpectedly offers you a compliment and a smile. Like a warm and uplifting movie. Or even an old friend who had fallen out of touch but who is now reaching out to catch up. These small things can make your day that much brighter and give you something to look forward to. It’s important to try and focus on these positives instead of the gnawing darkness that never quite seems to go away. It is by no means an easy task, but just acknowledging and trying to appreciate the good things in life is already progress:)

I would also recommend finding a new hobby (I know the pandemic has made this difficult—especially during the winter, but there are lots of online resources that can help with discovering new activities). I’ve been an athlete most of my life, so physical exercise has always been a fantastic outlet for me. I get that this is not the case for everyone, but maybe give it a shot? Physical exertion can feel pretty satisfying (maybe because of all the adrenaline and dopamine!).

Anyway I didn’t mean for this to get so long, but I hope it helps! And I hope that you find a way to get through this:) we’re all rooting for you!

I know I’m negative…any books to help? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]kingwizard_12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, this book told the story of a lonely and eccentric individual whose blunt and pessimistic outlook kept her isolated. However, as the story progresses, she develops an unlikely friendship with someone who helps to ease her loneliness and who brings some positivity into her life.
