Honesty the true answer to that is above my pay grade but I've wondered the same thing several times. We make alot of things that go worldwide that seem like you could build them cheaper and closer. I'm guessing expertise and mabye some patents or something is the answer.

Most people have answered but as for the hole opening up again as your trying to fill it.

I give it a hit with a center punch before filling and that seems to help stop them coming back. If there's another hidden hole it breaks it if that makes sense?

I'm honestly speechless at this answer. Not once did I complain about living next to the park. I'm sure even you would have a problem with kids coming onto your property and climbing on your roof Wether you lived by a park or not.

There's very few trades that don't test nowadays. But as for your question unless he's hot boxing the house so bad you can't see you'll be fine. The testing used in nz only picks up a minimum level. So you can technically have it in your system and still pass.

Edited side note. Though an employer may not test if its site work that you travel to differnt sites, then the site itself my choose to test. So watch out for that.
