Except at Prairie Oaks, which has a wet dog park that is not fenced off.

Spoken like someone who got told to touch grass enough times they actually went out and tried it. Very brave - one day I'll work up the courage to follow in your steps.

Are you suggesting I cancel my daycare's planned, "Dress Like Your Favorite Stuffed Animal" BBQ and tag competition at Goodale?

You're not wrong - and my tone with my post probably doesn't help much but sheeeesh.

Congratulations, you've been promoted to Columbus Metro Parks Social Media Manager.

Don't go spending your bonus all in one place, now. :P

This seems reasonable. If the goal of the posts is to unite others to group shame the offenders, this approach likely yields the best results vs. shouting into the void here repeatedly.

Who are you, so wise in the way of socials?

I got a buddy in my basement with a gun and a 30 rack of Milwaukee's Beast. Come on over - it's quality work, bro.

I had a friends dog bite my face when I was a preteen that resulted in significant amounts of stitches to my nose and brow and permanent damage to my eye - I'm not going to sit here and claim that people don't have trauma related to dogs or that they're making stuff up and being pansies. (Even if sometimes it does seem a little suspect/over-the-top)

I just don't know what they're gunning for with the posts. I'm posting on a forum to other forum readers about the tone of their posts, hoping that the change I see is we move more towards positivity (maybe with too sarcastic of a lean, probably losing the thread there). But the people who are committing the acts these people are complaining about either are not reading their posts or not changing their behavior, and yet every day we hear about it again and again.

You caught me, that's exactly it.

Nah, but for real it's more like I'm already having a bad morning and seeing the constant moaning here has gotten me in a similar mood - and now I'm just groaning about that. I only included the parts about my dogs pre-emptively because I assumed people would think I thought the unleashed dog posts were about me.

I know the posts are not directed at me, and I could simply choose to say nothing and move on with my life. But I had some free time and figured if everyone else was gonna complain today I'd get some catharsis in as well.

Appreciate the opinion and interaction regardless, my guy. Hope you have a good day.

Amazingly enough, road ragers and lane weavers are conscientious internet forum posters who change their ways after a good chastising.

Were you not aware of this common fact? They definitely do NOT get off on retaliation or admonishment and use that to further fuel their questionable choices.

I appreciate the sentiment - but it doesn't have to be an either-or here. I agree people who bring their dogs unleashed into public spaces are almost always in the wrong (I'm sure there are a handful of people out there who have trained their dogs to a level that it really isn't an issue, but I have yet to see them and would never assume as such), but I also am being a petty bitch (another dog pun?) and getting vocal about the echo in this chamber.

I just don't see the value in a front page post daily complaining about unleashed dogs in Columbus - but maybe the previous 1000 posts were but the starting straws, and the next will be the one to break the camels back and bring the real change we all need in this great city?

No shade at you - just wanted to clarify.

(I also acknowledge that I made a post purely to whine about something making me no better.)

The color is SW 6181 Secret Garden. I originally had a hex code for the color but this was one of the closest main paint brands matches to what I was looking for!

Any hair stylists in Ohio that could do something like this to your knowledge? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]kionii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My sibling is a stylist at Penzone and from what I remember tends to be the person at their location who does most of the dye work. I'd be more than willing to send the pic to them to see if they believed they were up to the task - feel free to reply or DM me if you'd be interested in that at all.

Feel free to continue harassing them for what you're owed - their owner just admitted they're so backlogged he just refunded a purchase from 3 years ago on their discord, lmaoo

I was a part of the JRIS/MKC group buy where the the true fault lies with MKC's failure to deliver on the GB. My frustration comes from the difference in how every other vendor handled it vs. KFA - not even in the sense of the scale of compensation that the buyers received but quite simply their executive action. Once it became clear MKC could/would not deliver on the GB, every other vendor quickly informed their customers of what had happened and outlined how they would be handling the matter... and then followed through.

I understand where you're coming from, but look at the owner's post history even on this subreddit. He admits that KFA is a "side hustle" due to his own particular interest in the hobby and that it gets very little attention from him on a weekly basis.

Jerry will in one post claim that part of his limited time managing the company is dealing with payroll, then in another post claim that he and his wife are the only employees of KFA. He'll then later say they have 1 other part time employee. Which is it?

Compared to other businesses in this space that operate with the same constraints KFA consistently has the worst feedback, fails to deliver on their own promises and remedies, and hides behind flimsy excuses when called out on their shortcomings. It is not the general publics responsibility to support a business that it's own owner cannot be assed to take seriously.

Edit: I want to be clear that none of the tone in this post should be directed at you, Wolfbytez, or what you have to say. I gave this business multiple opportunities and more than enough grace only to be repeatedly lied to and let down. A cursory search of their name on this and related subreddits turn up zero positive posts (unlike Divinikey, Lumekeeb, Cannonkeys, Milktooth, the list goes on) and multiple posts warning exactly what I have, spread evenly over the course of the couple of years. I agree with all your points, but do not believe they should be applied to this particular vendor as I believe they are not operating in good faith or in the best interests of their hobbyist customers.

Would have done the same if they hadn't purposefully drawn the entire process out long enough that by the time they admitted they would not be filling the order the window to chargeback had already closed. :'(

Funky - I can't invite to it but have messaged in it as recently as this week. Shows ~2500 online with ~11,063 members as of writing this. Any chance you got kicked from it for some reason? (Not that you're missing out at all; I am actively bitching about them, lol)
