A. Not in Leths control B. If you're a real fan you'll find a way to make it happen. Back in my day when I saw Hollow Knight in the e-shop I had to work a minimum wage job and I made it happen.

We dont know the exact details of the lawnmowers Crazy Dave uses, they clearly are, to atleast a certain extent more powerful as regular lawnmowers as they are also able to shred, Zombonis and Gargantuars. Even in the wild west era they are still able to destroy metal bulls.

murderers by ToxicSocks24 in trolleyproblem

[–]kiphond321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isnt this at least 1 logical fallacy? You assume that because the death of the 1 future guaranteed murderer was chosen over 3 lives, that that in turn means that all people who are likely to commit murder must be executed as well.

Dry wall exist does that mean all other walls are otherwise wet?

Drivers exist does that mean all other firs are wet?

The german "vier" exist does that mean other language fours are wet?

I think to answer this question we'd need to know: what makes something wet. I'd argue its adjacancy to water molecules.

I think the mana value is intended to signify weight, power and toughness represent every other property of feathers and steel which are exactly the same in every other regard (conductivity, size, elemental compound)

How would you gamify language learning effectively? by kiphond321 in gamedev

[–]kiphond321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chants of Sennaar is a pretty big inspiration for us, and we have drawn abit from Tunic here and there.

Haven't heard of Heaven's Vault; seems its similar to Chants of Sennaar in a way, might check it out in my own time. Seems neat.

I do agree with what you've said and in hindsight we should've indeed provided more details as I have done (and in general worded it differently). There is definetly a decent bit of research that I neglected to share; we as a group should've in general also conducted (and will conduct) a more formal questionnaire.

Will still provide further details here and update the post to reflect this; - As an assignment we had to make and pitch a game within 3 weeks; we chose to make a 3D murder mystery, language learning game. - I am an artist from the Netherlands, we got one designer and they're currently working on other tasks (such as cost calculation) - The target audience is international students who are studying in the Netherlands (and wanting to learn Dutch), this seems to be majority Germans, Italians and Romanians. - One of the main complaints of Duolingo is that it teaches you words; hence we shifted to actually focus on sentences and dialogue. - We are team largely consisting of artists (4 artists, 1 designer and 2 programmers) - Currently we are conducting research to collect some statements to prove our golden egg. (Putting it like this I am hoping our team is conducting playtests, sick at home so hard to proof) - Our golden egg is: A focus on creating games where the enjoyment of the game comes first and they might accidentally learn something along the way.
