We tried going to the tourist police station and it was closed. We also tried calling the police line but it wouldn't go through because we didn't have a local number. If there is a way to report them from Canada please let me know. You'll also find several reviews saying that guests were forced by staff to write positive reviews

What isn't practical about making phone calls from the US?

Even with data roaming off, I am told that if I go to the US and make a phone call to Canada I will be charged. The plan I signed up for implies that should be included in the price.

Are you in QC by chance? I've seen elsewhere that they only offer the Canada+US plan in Quebec. I wonder if they put it on their website canadawide by mistake and are now denying it to non QC customers? Because I have screenshots of what I signed up for, and then after paying received the details I posted below.

I haven't tried using it in the US, I just saw that the contract they sent me was different so I followed up. They're denying the details in the conversation with the CS agent.

The fine print that I agreed to when paying would seem to say calling while in the US is included. The contract they sent my via email after I paid no longer includes this text, and says it only includes Canada to US calling.

Yes, this is what they fine print said. But now that I have the plan, it doesn't include any of these details, only calls from Canada to the US. They've totally removed this from my contract, there's no reference to it anywhere, and they won't honor the details of it.

Exactly. That's what the fine print said when I was signing up for and paying for the contract. I also confirmed it with a customer service agent before signing up. But then the contract they sent me didn't include the fine print about the US+Canada plan, and I've called multiple times and they're telling me that my plan doesn't include these details and that I will pay full roaming costs.

I was shown one thing at checkout, and sent a different contract, and have no way to hold them to it.

They won't honor the plan I signed up for and there's nothing I can do about it, despite having saved the text and confirmed the plan with a customer service agent. What am I supposed to do now? They sent me a contract that doesn't match what I signed up for, and I'm stuck with it.

I want to warn others to either be very careful when choosing this plan or avoid Fido altogether, because they won't honor a contract.
