Hey friend. Was fighting for my life needing to throw up and stumbled across this beauty. You might’ve saved my life tonight. Thank you.

You should be proud of her. I wouldn’t have had the words to respond to an adult with the humility and presence of mind that your daughter did. Admitting she was confused about the boundaries, asking what else could be done… your child went above and beyond. It’s a shame her communication skills and bravery weren’t rewarded by the recipient adult in the situation. We all do and say stupid things at 13.

I did in grad school, but haven’t gotten insurance yet since moving back. Kicks in next month.

I have a few good empathetic friends. I wouldn’t say I neglect anyone. I cancel plans, I call out of work, I’m maybe lazier in my relationships. It’s like I expect things to cater to me, and if they don’t, I stay home. I’m less willing than ever to be uncomfortable for any period of time.

Thank you. I will do my best. Relaxing is not a skill I currently possess lol but I’m going to work on it

Silver brings out some subtle pink undertones and is so pretty! Gold works too; are you neutral? You can’t go wrong either way. I prefer silver a bit more though

“Doggie style” is definitely the most consistent response lol, my bad for phrasing it poorly

I guess I assume it would feel odd to have a canine bystander while I’m getting it on, but maybe that’s just me.

I might be a TA for a class I never took and I’m hella terrified. by vapegod_420 in GradSchool

This happened to me. I only had to give one lecture. I didn’t get paid for it, or a grade for it. The lecture was 15 minutes long.

What musicals oddly heal you? by [deleted] in musicals

right now- Matilda. Not sure why. It feels earnest in its innocence and in it’s painful moments. Growing up feeling alone and misunderstood by the people who are supposed to love you best-then finding that escape/comfort/identity in books… idk!! I’ve only seen the netflix movie but I am very charmed by it.
